I got this medal for splashing two Iraqi helos in my F-16.

Then I got this medal after being attacked by a scorpion.

I would like to tell you guys about the other medals I have won (yeah, this one is ONLY authorized by congress), but the details of those operations wont be publicized for many years.  Let me give you a hint though, you wont be seeing Osama or Sadam around any more.

By the way, would anyone like to invest in my software company or ride in my P-51?

Air Force Achievement Medal w/ device
Air Force Outstanding Unit Award w/ Valor with 2 devices
Air Force Good Conduct Medal
National Defense Service Medal
Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal
Southwest Asia Service Medal w/ device
Armed Forces Service Medal
Air Force Longevity Service Award Ribbon
Small Arms Expert Markmanship Ribbon/Rifle
Air Force Training Ribbon
Nato Medal for Yugoslavia

And my personal favorite:

Excellence in Competition Medal

There is no ribbon for that. The award is an actual bronze medal authorized to wear under your ribbons over the left pocket. The medal is for qualifying in a special M-16 rifle competition. That medal was not easy to get and I'm quite proud of it.

Wow, when I went in, the minimum service was none at all.

You misunderstood me. Normally doing something like posting ribbons on an internet discussion group is really 'not my style'. But Sandman's reasoning seemed honest enough. A comparison amongst everybody for the sake of curiosity. For instance I'd like some details (if allowed) about Martlet's CG special operations awards. Think along the lines of "That's interesting...what's it for?".

If it's going to go the way of "You must think you're a real hero" or "My opinion matters more than yours because-" then I don't want to get involved.

In other words, if ongoing feuds are 'active' here then I'll steer clear. I don't have the free time as of late to be a Proper Feuding Bastard. :)

I was never implying you should think his opinions valid or anything else like that. I just wanted to know if it was 'gloves on' or 'gloves off'. :)

Creamo,

Above is the type of comment I'm interested in. Catch my drift? :)
