Best bits of UK for biking?
Avoid anywhere likely to be a tourist haunt if you want good riding. Derbyshire is popular with bikers though its crowded to hell, Wales is good but heavily policed. You can still have fun though just keep em peeled. I'd try Worcestershire, Herefordshire, Shropshire, Warwickshire, The road between St Neots and kimbolton in Northamptonshire is a cracker its the A45.
Wiltshire is good East anglia is pretty good, while there check out Duxford museum, and of course Scotland. Oh and check out the National motorcycle museum in Birmingham. They had a fire but many of the bikes have been restored so its worth a visit.
Going to Europe? The Alps, the Furka pass is great. But the Alps full stop. France try the Auvergne region. Brilliant roads and stunning extinct volcanoes. the Pyrenees are great much less crowded than the Alps too. Germany got to be the Eiffel Mts and the Nurbergring or the Black Forest. Belgium the Ardennes is a must especialy around Spa Francorchamps. We'll be going to the Dolomites this summer in the South tyrol ,Italy so I'll let you know how that went.
Have fun:aok
