Want to find some common ground?
Here is one of Mann`s works.
No matter what you ride, where or how you ride it, if you have ridden more than a week I think everyone can relate to.

Blimey!

what did I start?

I think the only thing thats clear is that Bikers in the UK seem to share more of a bond with each other than you guys do. I haven't come accross this kind of infighting stuff for years over here.

Maybe for once America will follow our trend rather than the other way around!

How would you know? You are not a biker , so you know nothing about any "bond" that is shared. You can only relate to any bond that might be shared by motorcycle enthusiats, Yups on wheels or RUBs.
Now ya might want to go visit  Staga on the other hand. Them guys are sharing all sorts of bonds..........in the sauna.

Any of the Brit riders here able to give me some info on bike insurance and a good insurance company or broker. My understanding that it's very expensive and anything over 600cc is close to uninsurable unless your rich. True or not?

Jackal,

You keep on going on about the one who is the only "biker" here in what your meaning or image of that is yet you seem sooo obsessed with image in what's cool or not that imo your the one that's missing out.

I couldn't give a toss if the bike I owned was bright pink with blue wheels as long as I can still drift it through corners and enjoy riding it, that's all the matters.

I don't feel as if I have to try and look cool to impress others or forfill in my mind what I think biking is about, that's total bollocks.

The more and more you post the more you come across as the one who has the least idea of anyone that I've ever talked to about bikes and have no clue what so ever. You come across as a grumpy sad arse that's never owned his own bike in his life and always dreamed of touring the US on a Harley or something. Keep on dreaming while some of us have raced and lived bikes of all different makes, models and colours every day. And enjoyed every moment.

Thanks for that, about the same as here infact a little cheaper then here which is good to see. Do you know if they offer special coverage for track days? Also what happens if you take the bike to France is it still covered?

Seems I might be moving to the UK soon so will be shopping for a bike and some insurance. Cheers.

Yes Usualy most Insurers cover you abroad though the cover may be reduced to third party only. As for track days I haven't done them. More of a tourer here. So I'm not sure. I think you may have to get special insurance but someone else may know better.

Where you moving to?

Gixer me old pal,

used to be the case you needed an insurance green card to go abroad, yuo don't anymore, you just need to inform your insurer you're going.  Some insurer's still think in terms of a 'green card' but under european law it's not needed.  Check with yr insurer cos them bastards will try anything to get out of making a payout in the event of a claim.

And when you show up in Britain we're going for a pint or four.
