500 hrs of flight time for an RC is one hell of a long time.

I am curious if modelled his R/C P-51 after his full size one.

Is he STILL "flying" for Hawaiian Air?  I think its kind of strange someone in Vegas to be flying to Hawaii from there and not L.A. but what do I know?

That was actually easy to check, nirvana.  HA has two flights a day from Las Vegas to Honolulu, one at 2:45 am, the other in the afternoon.

That doesn't mean anything, really--a fake could get the info in five minutes, just like I did, from the internet.

A lot of guys in the airline biz commute.

I used to fly with a DAL Captain that commuted to ATL from Bozeman, MT.

I used to commute from KC to NYC to fly International.

I don't question commuters... I've met a lot of commuters that go to great lengths.

Didn't Straiga say his dad retired as a 2 star from Nellis AFB?  You can't hide when your daddy was a Maj. Gen.  Especially considering he said he retired from Nellis.

Considering he flew that many birds I'm sure he has to have some outstanding achievements. Being an instructor pilot on all these birds and all.    I'm sure with a little bit more info I can figure it out.  :D

Heck ya know daddy has money.  Might even get a P-51 outta the deal in the end...:D

Did I ever mention that the O Clubs have this nice long wall that is almost always dedicated to previous base commanders and such.  Wonder if my trusty military id will work at Nellis which is just up the road.

Straiga is a fraud.

Golfer you are either incredibly naive, or just trying not to get raped while in Vegas at FI school.

I am not 100% sure about this, but I seem to recall a buddy of mine telling me you can look up pilots listed on the FAA website. Now he claims to have 7,000 hours rotor time.... I am not sure but from what I have always though any flight time counts to your over all flight time... So does that mean he has 7,000 hours total time, or just helios? Does anyone know his total number of hours? If we found this out, I am not sure how hard it would be to cross check this with the FAA. Like I said before 7,000 hours in just helios is really, really, rare. So we might be able to clear this all up that way.
The other thing I was thinking about... if someone could make contact with HA and check to see if they have any pilots with that much time listed. I am sure someone in human res. would have somthing like that.

I do recall him saying he flies the DC-10 didnt I? I am almost sure of this. The reasion I ask is becuase I just checked out Hawaiian Airlines fleet, and they dont own DC-10s anymore. They havent since 2001. They only have 767-300ERs and 717-200's. Then again at this point this has become so confusing, I am starting to lose track of fact and fiction.

At this point I don't think anyone really cares anymore.  There is far more evidence against Straiga/Golfer than there is for it/them.

It's 9:45 local now and I'm just now getting out of the office.  I've been in the sim shooting the approaches at LAS and VGT getting used to the procedures and such.

Anyway...I get a kick out of everyone here and honestly this started out partly a troll because I was quite happy that I got to see his pilot certificate which showed many type ratings.  DC-10, (727 and DC-9 as well if I recall correctly) 767 and among others.  I must say I hooked a stringer full.

Anyway, I've got all the satisfaction I need out of this whole ordeal.  He even brought his FIRC certificate from that afternoon among the many DC-10 and 767 photos from Hawaiian airlines.  None are digital, all are kodak with date stamps.

I've posted the email before.  It's on the website here.  You don't even need to have a huge imagination to figure it out but I'll tell you anyway.  Straiga@hotmail.com amazing, huh?

I will say again that in my opinion you're ALL out of line for asking anybody to post their personal info on a public forum.  Beware what you wish for you might get it, but I will say you won't find everything you're looking for in the registry.  I did a little research and confirmed this by searching for folks that I know have certificates and they didn't come up.  NOBODY has posted a name that they think is his, so as far as I know you don't even have a guess.

After an hour in the car with "Straiga" I can say that he's very knowledgable, intelligent and laid back.  I do consider him a friend now and it really doesn't matter what anyone here says I will continue to do so.  I'm not going to be 'shamed' away and it is also not my place to post his information here.  Get your heads out of your tulips if you think I'm going to GIVE you anything.  Nobody has offered a name here or privately to verify, including Bodhi whom I have asked several times but am given an answer even more 'shady' than you accuse Straiga of being.  I'm done posting on the subject, I will tell you if you can't find out who he is through your many and vast sources...you're not looking in the right place.  I've seen the pieces of paper from the FAA and I am saying that it's true.

Regarding anything else...that's between you and him.

I'd ask that Hitech delete the threads that go above and beyond personal attack including 'Autopilot' bodhi's famous thread which names Straiga in the title and this one.

I can't hide from my stance.  I know too many guys and gals from this game.  No less than 25 members of my squadron alone I have met personally including spouses, significant others, children and pets.  The best part is, I can say that because I know that I don't need to.  I don't suppose it will change anyone's mind but I've stood by giving him a fair shot and in my eyes he's proven himself truthful.  Anything further is your problem with him and I'd suggest you do it privately.  If that's too hard to understand, then I don't know what to say that you're either lacking a life, going above and beyond the call of duty to be confrontational or are awaiting your taping date for the Jerry Springer show.

You're all adults, act like it.  You'd be surprised what a little civilty could bring you...and beware what you wish for because you just might get it.

Golfer what flight school are you at? I ask only becuase everything is telling me that both you and Straiga are the same person. Why is it you are getting mad on the behalf of someone else. You say you have seen all this "proof" then what is so hard about posting some? I mean if my bellybutton was in the hot seat and I had to choose between proving myself by backing up my claims, and being run out of town becuase I dont feel I should have to. You bet your sweet bellybutton I would stand and fight.
It seems to me it would be so easy to post a few pics of himself at the controls of some of the aircraft he has flown. Hell I have quite a few pics of my silly face grinning from ear to ear just from flying a simple Piper Archer. I would think, know I know any pilot that had the back ground Straiga has described would have a love of flight. He would have hundreds of photos at the controls of the planes he has flown. I have videos, pics, you name it.
It takes less than five mins to clear this up. Here is what we know for a fact so far. Straiga has a dad that retired an Airforce Col, then was some how promoted to a Gen. That sir is a lie. We know Straiga told us how he Soloed at the age of 14 at his dads airport. We know that to be a lie as well. The airport in question was bult in 1964 and has always been owned by the city in which it sits.
All anyone wants at this point is for Straiga to be a man. To stand up and admit he did wrong. Truthfully like I said in one f my first post's on the matter I kinda like the guy. He is a colorfull fella. I enjoyed my time flying with him. He is an ok stick and this is just a game. If he were willing to stand up and admit his wrong doings, and stop just stonewalling the issue I would still have respect for him. It takes a big man to admit when he is wrong. Atleast to me those actions wouldnt go unnoticed. However if he keeps on the path he is currently on, I am afraid he will find he will not have a home here anymore. It is time for anwsers.
