JG54 in the CT, good or bad?
« Reply #120 on: April 01, 2005, 11:35:16 PM »
I don't really have anything against the JG54 guys.  A couple of them are actually pretty good.

I am also one of those who find the "ganging, cherrypicking" comments directed at Dedelos rather amusing, considering the last time I flew in there (granted, a month ago), my fights were 3v1 consistantly.  Then they had the nerve to ***** about my hopping in a spit to fight 3v1.

I think the CT could be viable though, once it got past a certain critical mass.

To be a success, the CT needs to provide a markedly different atmosphere from the MA.  If friendly collisions are on, and kill-shooter is off, that will go a ways towards providing that.  Just those by themselves will keep the X on 1's from getting too outrageous, since you have to be able to keep track of everyone around you instead of just the red guys.

Truekill, you are not being completely honest with yourself.  Your justify gangbanging as being "historical", when actually you prefer it because it allows you to get more kills.  Anything which prevents you from getting kills, such as the other guy running, more having alt than you, etc., you guys ***** about on the radio.

Last time I looked you wernt me so you have no ****ing clue what I think of prefer. If you knew how I fly you would know that if the guy runs I chase him. Just about 10mins ago I chased a chog into fleet ack to kill him. If he has more alt then me then I make him loose it if he wants to fight.

Tonight in the CT I got gangbanged, cherried, HOed, run from, and biotched at.  This happens to me every night in the CT with two major differences.

First, isnt JG54 doing it, I fly with them.
Second, Im not complaining about it because I wear boxers not panties.

The CT is a blast, very competitive, full of competitors, not for the limp-wristed. Whiners click here. But seriously folks, its not that bad, its just that whining in the CT is like a wounded duck flopping around in a crocodiles billabong

I guess you need to talk to your CO because he's the one who came to the general discussion area to try and garner support for the CT. If you're getting negative responses as a result of the post it might be telling ya'll something.  You can do with that info whatever you please because, whining aside, people just will stay away from the CT and your lil group can have all the fun it wants by itself.

63 guys were on for that one misison thingy.  I was there when they started showing up (had to log).

BEFORE that there were roughly 20 people there.  I had some fun fights, and it was passably enjoyable.  AFTER the mission thingy, people were scarce (logged in couple hours later and ZERO people in the CT)

I will pop into the CT if I see 20 ish people there.  IF there are only 20 people on, it's dumb to run from a fight.  What's the point?  With that few of people on everyone should be wanting the fight, not running from it.

Nobody complained 'bout helping out a squaddie/team mate.  EVERYBODY does that.  It's more the whole "getting them to fight in the 1st place" that is frustrating.  And don't give me that "I fly historically" bunk.  If you ONLY flew historically, then you would wait in the tower, and all come together.  And of course that isn't what usually happens.  Last two times i've been on, I would be tooling around at 18k ish and spot an nme dot roughly co-alt.   ALL con's I have met co-ish alt just flat out ran.  ALL of them.  Not one even tried to fight.  Was only when a 2nd, or 3rd friendly of theirs showed up that they even consider fighting.  How dull.  Granted, there was a low alt furball going on, and THOSE guys were fighting (they kinda HAD to, they were commited).  It's the timid, won't  commit unless I have every advantage flyers that make the CT BOOOORING.

I'm starting to see Big Fish in Little Pond syndrome in this thread.  Question was asked "JG54 in the CT, good or bad?", dont' start cryin' if you don't like the opinions expressed.  Many are spot on.

lol, i asked on ch200 if you survived the ram.  Just read up the thread you don't tune.  Curious, did you make it?  Your guns missed me, but I didn't survive the thwak of our planes smashing together.

Chased me? lol no, was never chased.  IIRC was in that furball I mentioned, after watchin' you HO/Joust that 262 over and over that the ram finally did me in.  Finally joined in the furball, after geting bored to death when I grabbed.

Heh.  Good times....

nope didn't survive it. I saw sprites and you came apart.  I was just too fast to get outta the way of the wreakage.  looked like your right wing folded and came off.  actually I thought you were going away from me.  I don't typically HO and I usually dodge the HO.  In that fight I just couldn't dive with certainty that you would miss me.  very nice flying I was watching from above for a bit.
