back in the late 60's the microbus was a "must have"... I never seen one make it to Tahoe.. every single one of em blew their underpowered little guts out up hill.

I did trade my Olds powered 57 chevy for the night for one of em for a drive in movie date. I think my sone was concieved in one of the damn things. Love my son but still have no fond memories of those worthless little bus's

I still haven't seen one in person. All we have around here are the neutered G35s. I know one person that bought one & bolted on the twin turbos as soon as they were released. Fast. Fun... but still not a real R34 Skyline

I never understood why they'd call a Skyline anything without its inline-6 turbo.

The `61 Vette I had would have to go on the top of my list I guess as the car I liked and miss the most.
Most cars I`ve owned, like anything else, over time you grow used to and just sort of take for granted and is no biggy after a while. Not so with the Vette for me. Every time I got in and cranked her up it was a blast. One of the few cars I`ve owned that I actualy drove just for the pure pleasure of driving.

The Cobra--- I had a female friend who had a nice Cobra.
It was super fast. (The car)
Looked great and was fun to to take for a cruise. (Both)
Purred like a kitten and clung like glue. (Both)
Big headlights. (The gal)
Wife made me give it up. (Both)

The Porsche--- Possibly the ugliest piece of metal ever assembled into anything resembling an auto. An overglorified Karmen Ghia.

dago.. yu can build a shelby 350 or 500 clone pretty reasonably..

yep.. early vette... I had both tops for it and loved the way it sounded with headman headers and corvair turbo mufflers with the top off... short stick hurst linkage and really sweet small block..

I am talking about cars that you have to own for a year. I don't like porches but can see how they would fit.

We are talking about cars that you want to drive every day.. cars that are fun just to fire up and ones that you don't have to worry about getting into the wrong one of the same color in the parking lot.

head turners but not kings ransom cars.

Rather have a early vette in primer with ratty interior than a brand new lexus kind of thing...
