I disagree here. Such discussions became much less tolerant lately at this forum. I felt it clearly when I returned after a break. Forum became almost unreadable and much more borring. Almost any thread is sooner or later trolled with agressive remarks.

I do not know what is a reason for it, but I hope it will change.

Yup, AH community has only gotten worse and worse... and worse over the years.

Personally I am getting very tired of it, and of the MA. It is no fun anymore, only waiting for ToD and I hope that will bring back the fun of AH.

MA is a never ending gang bang, either direction. Either you have the 10 -1 numbers or you don't.

I think the AH community has gotten funnier and funnier. I think some of you "older" players take the internet waaay to seriously. The game has gotten boringer and boringer do to the lack of furballs but that's just my opinion.

Leviathn, no one wants to bash to Blue Knights just for the sake of it.

the only thing that gets people a bit peeved at the BKs is....I'll just come out with it and not beat around the bush........... you used to be a squad of highly skilled gentlemen. It just seems to most that you expanded into a squad of highly skilled over self admiring gamers.


i still dont have any reason to bash you BKs, and this isnt a bash.....its the truth in my eyes.

And it really doesnt bother me....but you did bring up the recent BK bashing, and this, imo, is the cause.

Hmm how to handle it in game is easy.  DON'T TUNE INTO CH 200.  Espesialy if you have a thin skin.

Now onto the boards.
Think of the boards as a stage with a spot light on you.
Ever been to a small comedy club. There is always someone in the crowd who goes just to heckle .  If the heckler get the comics flustered its open season on him. People who were just there to see the show will become hecklers also. Human nature  is all that it is .

i love you bk's, your great characters, and even better pilots, but just like great actors can get a little big for thier boots. i think if the community stopped trying to show off to each other, it'd be a far better place

A couple of points, Batfink.  First, people quickly forget that Lazs has been around for years representing the best public interests of the BKs.  At one point years ago HTC requested that he stop posting in the general forum because he pissed off so many people and generated so much hostility.  Now, I think Lazs would punch me in the kidney if I suggested he was a gentleman, so I'll just pretend you didn't say that for your own sake.

Second, the BKs don't take the game seriously.  We have fun with it.  The self-admiring or apparent self-admiring is a joke.  It's hyperbole and sarcasm.  Does anyone honestly think I go around declaring that I am King of the Pwn?  It's a joke exactly because that's not me.  Maybe others don't get the joke, but we do, and that's what counts.  My advice is for folks to lighten up.

Online EGO is unavoidible, but i must agree waffle that there is way too much crap being spewed on the boards and in the MA. Some people just have to lighten up and stop taking themselfs so seriously.
