America going?????

Interesting film?

http://www.freedomtofascism.com/

Haven't seen it.  What is posted on the site makes it seem interesting.
It's been said we have three brains, one cobbled on top of the next. The stem is first, the reptilian brain; then the mammalian cerebellum; finally the over developed cerebral cortex.  They don't work together in awfully good harmony - hence ax murders, mobs, and socialism.

Interesting, this quote has me nibbling the bait..

Determined to find the law that requires American citizens to pay income tax, producer Aaron Russo ("The Rose," "Trading Places") set out on a journey to find the evidence. This film which is neither left, nor right-wing is a startling examination of government. It exposes the systematic erosion of civil liberties in America since 1913 when the Federal Reserve system was fraudulently created. Through interviews with U.S. Congressmen, a former IRS Commissioner, former IRS and FBI agents and tax attorneys and authors, Russo connects the dots between money creation, federal income tax, and the national identity card which becomes law in May 2008. This ID card will use Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) chips which are essentially homing devices used to track people. This film shows in great detail and undeniable facts that America is moving headlong into a fascist police state. Wake up!

I'd like to see it and make up my own mind though.

I don't see why having a national ID is such a bad idea. Our borders are porous. It's fairly easy to remain in the country after the expiration of a visa.

Am I missing something?

Hehe, and I will not participate in the dang census due to the questions they ask (now they are threatening me with jail time if I do not comply).

Yeah, this ID thing would go over really well with me.  You want to take my picture and put it on a piece of plastic, I have no problem with that.  But when you start inserting chips into those cards wihch can be used for tracking purposes (I aint no damn endangered species), I draw the line.

First off, that card would magically disappear.
Next issue would have a problem with a strong magnetic field.
Next one would suffer from a jolt of static electricity.
Next one would fall under my lawn mower.
Next one would get attached to the under carriage of JT's truck.

And so on.

I'm with Skuzz on this one.  Basic ID - no problem.  Could possibly help control the population of those who have no business being here leeching off our country.

Try to mandate an electronc tracking bug...not a chance in hell.

I have a funny feeling that millions of the things would suffer repeated, inexplicable failures of indeterminate origin.

Here's a random thought...do they intend to issue them to homeless people?  And, how exactly do you think one would manage that?  Round people up and herd them into national identific ation centers?  Or shall they apply online?

Something ain't right here...

Hmm, it could also be used as a shim in my hydraulic press (200 tons).

If you have done nothing wrong a tracking chip will not bother you

I'm sure Rip has one already
