Yep..they were REALLY slow, and relatively maneuverable...but I'd still put my money on a well thrown rock, first!

Can I imagine a flock of them loaded with torpedoes heading for a CV? Sure. I can also see them plummeting into the sea aflame. Our current, more advanced torpedo carriers have a bad time getting in through the flak. At something like 9 miles an hour, I'm not sure you'd get 10 yards inside auto-ack range.

Nope, Swordfish did not take out the Bismark. One lucky torp hit the steering gear and locked her into a turn. She was ultimately scuttled by her crew (I think Bronk noted this already). Anybody know how many survived that attack, BTW? I don't recall.

Still, tho...you want 'em, it's no skin off my teeth. To each their own is OK by me!

All of them survived.

The Swordfish sank more tonnage of Axis shipping any any other Allied torpedo bomber and out lasted it's successor in service.

That said, it would be a flying coffin in AH.

Bismarck received damage from Prince of Wales, taking ay least one 14" armor piercing round into a fuel bunker. A significant portion of her fuel was then contaminated with sea water. Thus, she could not stay at sea for long. She was also hit by another torpedo in the first Swordfish attack. While this torpedo didn't breach the inner hull, it did punch a large hole in her anti-torpedo bulge, flooding that volume (and they could not pump it out), affecting ballast control, thus adding to the Bismarck's complications.

As to being scuttled, Bismarck was completely wrecked and being pummeled by torpedos. Whether or not scuttle charges were detonated is truly irrelavant.. She was going to sink and the Brits had no interest in towing the wreck back to port.

Of 2,242 souls on board (crew, guests, journalists, Admiral's staff, etc), only 116 survived.

b32 dominator with 2 new rules, there must be a pilot and a gunner, and no multiple aircraft ( no formation) if you want 3 b32's you have to talk 3 users into joining you, 1 pilot, 3 gunners. While I am at it, we need something inbetween the panzer4 / t34 and the tiger, I would like to see aJagpanzer. It is a panzer5 chasis with turret the long barreled 88 is hull mounted.

Gotta go with Toad on this one. I took one book with on the family vacation, "Flying Buccaneers" by Steve Birdsall about the 5th AF in the Pacific. What Toad's dad and those other strafer B25 guys did was amazing and fits for the way the MA operates.

Parafrags and a strafer B25C1 works for me too. Mix it with the A20G and the 38s we have, and it's 5th AF time. Of course it doesn't hurt that the 80th Headhunter 38s were escorting those strafers either

And yep thats a 345th BG Strafer those Headhunters are escorting too.

Hmm more transports would make sense.

All we have is that C-47. Wonderful plane, yes, but we need some Axis transports like the Ju-52. I believe the Japanese used the C-47 too under their own desig.

He 111's would be super fun too.

And then there's me being a noob and hoping to get a Spitfire LF Mk.Vc which we'll probably never going to get xD
