more ack

i think all these changes like more ack at fields and harder towns are going to make the opposite effect some people want to see.

these "griefers" will soon work out that 20 niki's or whatever arnt enough to take a base and will start bringing 30, or 40 etc......so the horde will get bigger.

time will tell.

comments?

Those kind of numbers would require almost an entire country at times and I don't care which chess piece you fly for, you'll never get that kind of cooperation!:aok

On second thought, the BOPs could probably pull it off, but I'd say they might be the only ones..........

I think what we saw today will be the case.  Most have given up on the idea of taking bases and just furball.  There's always a learning curve when new gameplay aspects are introduced.  I hope we find a way around the new hurdles.  Teamwork is more important now than ever.  There has to be a common ground for the GVers, the furballers, and the rest of us who like to see base captures.

P.S. this isn't a whine either.

2 38's with rockets could have all that ack down in 4 passes total, probably lose some parts in the process but what the hell eh?

Vulching  = Suicide = More actual fights = Great for gameplay

Yup it's kinda funny watching the Lala/Niks (A43 on LW arena) nip out for an attempted 'pick' then run right back to the field, followed by a conga line that suddenly reverses.

I think all the extra ack at the fields will certainly make vulching a lot harder, but a couple of flights of bombers comin over at 10K will still turn off all the hangers.

Gives us bomber boys something to do  ;)

That's how it should be, in WWII ground fire killed far more fighters than other aircraft. Attacking an airfield or other target with significant AA emplacements was a loathsome task fighter pilots really didn't look forward to.

As far as ack huggers go, ack provides an area they can up for defense and in relative safety get a little E before they are engaged/engage the attackers. If the attackers stay out of ack range the defenders will be compelled to venture out of the ack umbrella once they reach a co-E state and fight.

That should be good if you're trying to take a base then. They all hide, you take down town and capture!
