Now Ive been here a while but never seen this....

Ive been around a lil while in AH but Ive never seen anything like i had tonight.

So im messin around in one of the LW and some how or another we and player (X) argue over somthin or another i dont member what says hes a vet bla bla bla been here for 3 years is a FW ace....So we take a trip to the DA.

First fight Ive got my hopes up kinda u know ooo boy here we go this should actually be a fun fight!!! If hes really good this will be fun!
Well first fight he brings a 163 and BNZ's me till he runs out of Ammo and auger saying the exact words "When I want to Fight I will Fight" so im think oo boy so he says he is coming back out to give me a gooed fight!!!  Im thinkin yes the first thing was jsut a joke now this should be good!!

The second plane he brings out is a Fw 190 im like yes finally a fight !!! thank you!!!!! So we merge he Hoes ...I avoid the Ho and get on his 6 oclock ping him up a bit cant seem to finsih him off the player (X) decides to Run!! in the DA not only Run!! but Run to his feild ack!!!! In the dueling arena i cant belive my eyes im just baffaled at what ive seen so he lands his smoking bird all beat up while i wait NOE of of feild ack range and wait mabey hell up again!!! but no player (X) says there r no rules in the DA.

I was just amazed at the level of dweebeness and it hit man there have been a lot more people like this on latly the skill level i feel has decressed in the arenas its hard to get a 1 vrs 1 fight anymore So i started thinking to my self are things just getting worse and worse with the Newer players in aces high????


(On a second note)

So I was thinking HTC is there some way or some how we can get the newer players (2 weekers to 1 month) to go through some sorta Skill building process mabey like a class a week jsut to show the very basics...Sorta how to play the game like take feilds....pork bomb ect.......Im seeing more and more often questions on country chat where do i drop troops ...how do i take a base........whats a fighter??  I see some players trying to help but others jsut "lol newbs" (Im sure ive done the same thing) ..but this is jsut an idea thoughts???? I mean heck I go into the DA sometimes to help out but no ones ever there!! I mean heck If we can set up some sorta class or somthin ill even offer to help set it up!!

Youre assuming those guys want to make an EFFORT to learn.

Sadly, my experience is that a good percentage of new players just wants to learn which button/key makes them turn better/kill quicker, but do not care for more then a little effort. The ones that are serious about wanting to learn have every opportunity to do so.

Weird, was the guy playing the same game as you?  I'm stating the obvious  here but the gentleman's rules in the DA are long standing and time honored.

Things havent changed at all. There are still those that honor the unwritten DA rules and respect their opponent (no matter win or lose or Ego). And there are still those that dont.

I remember a time that we went to the DA goldie and you ran from my spit cause i out turned your hurri. not sayin what he did was cool but hey why whine about it. you just learned that hes not better then you. so what move on. and giving out his name is not mean its actually going to be funny when we find out who it is. i thinkin it was Paccer

i had a similar experience in the DA.

unnamed pilot takes credit for 3 vulches he didn't get(i assume he got assists or asked who was the tard getting vulched) and then procedes to berate me on 200 for my lack of ability, i promptly challange him to a duel. after he avoids the challange for about 10 min proclaiming he is having too much fun almost vulching me(he has yet to shot me down.

he finally agrees to DA once there(me being the challanger i give him field choice and plane selection) he choses the 15k bases and p-51's(should have been a clue to his particular play style but i continue on) I flew to HIS base to find him at 20k circling the field. he made a HO pass and missed i split S cause he has already started his dive run. he pulls up and i gain his 6 at about 400.

i took 1 of his airlerons despite his stick stirring but i cant quite finish him off. so his next ACM is to dive for his field ack!!  i was shocked and amazed, and stupidly i follow him thru 3 passes thru the ack and am shot down.

i digustedly return to the Blue and there he is proclaiming his amazing victory on 200.


now i've only been playing for 9 months but there is definetly a larger contingent of inept players. i suspect there will always be a percentage of garbage among the gold but lately it seems to have gone up.

Definitely agree. Some noobs don't have the patience to understand that this game takes patience to understand.

(Off Topic)-- Schatzi...it's been several months since I last dueled (in the EWA) with you. When do I get my butt whooped again by your Hurri-1?

when i was trained in the game i was told that anything goes in the main arena
and in the DA you set up the fight and you follow the instructions on where it is as far as alt goes
you find out if you can Ho or not
and once you get the rules you follow them to the tee
if there is a disagreement on how the fight went instead of arguing just have the fight reset and re-up

^if you follow those rules win or lose you should gain respect

ive also been told that the man who looses his cool first looses the argument
