Big 3 day weekend coming up, I think putting the three big maps mentioned back in rotation for bothe LW arenas for the weekend would be a good test. Lots of people around to fill out the maps, go way to test milk running in a big map, check to see how a smaller player base per map would play out.

Come on HT give it a go !!!!

where that darn "bribe" link when ya need it !!!!:cry

To all the people asking for big maps............

Have you been on during off-peak hours?  I have, and theres not much to do on even a small map. IMO- HTC doesnt want big maps in rotation because off-peak hour attendance will not suport a big map with 4-5 other arenas open.

ATOON

That is why I want the EW and MW arenas closed so this is more feasible.

So whats the difference if there is not much going on in a small map v large map on off peak hours??:O

I don't think closing the EW or the MW is going to do anything for off peak hours, heck not even much for ON peak at that. However, this weekend is a long one in the US, so a lot of people should be on and I think would be able to fill out a big map. Come Tuesday I think they would have to switch back to the small maps for the week.

Weekends are made for big maps !!!  :D

From what I heard, the maps don't stay up forever, but rotate on a pretty regular schedual. I've heard they pretty much run through daily. I don't get to fly much during the week, but I've been on for a couple of reset this month, what are the odds?

a majority of them do but IMO if they get stuck after a week or so they seem to stay around for along time

There are 2 alternatives as pointed our by others on this board:

1) EW, MW, and Orange arena always carries small maps.  Blue arena always carries the large maps.  Downside is that most members will try to get into Blue arena how I see it.

2) Small maps during the week - - Large maps during Friday Saturday and Sunday.  Instead of wenesday reset, do it Monday instead.  I think this idea is doable.

What do you all think?

I see no reason to close them but I would relish the opportunity to use one of our older larger maps.  I suppose since the terrain update that's not possible.:(

MA was split because of "overpopulation" and due to the effects overpopulaton had.

however 400 people on a small map is MORE per mile than what we had on large maps with 700 players....so it doesnt really make sense

while im all YAY for large maps, offpeak just cant support them.

As to the LWA's run one with big maps in rotation and one with small maps in rotation with a 2-3 to one arena cap on the big map arena vs the small map arena.

That said, while it seems like the small maps are overcrowded on the weekends, I was in SmPizza for quite a while tonight and most of that map was a ghost town.  That being the case the land grabbers and milk-runners should have been going wild but they weren't.  All the action was packed into a few small areas.

would make more sense, 1933-1942 arena, and 2x 1942-1945 arenas.
