Not to beat a dead and happily burried horse, but we did get some essential players stop flying the event on their own because they were flying around formation and getting caught rtb'ing or climbing back from same (or vulched), basicaly spending an hour or two doing jack, rather than having a lot of action.

The hours of boredom punctuated by short moments of terror thing is fun and historical, but to a point only.  It could never substitute good wingman and small group tactics.

Couldn't disagree with you more.

I enjoyed the combat (3 kills) today, but prob. the most fun I had was the climb out, and the rtb @ the end.  The immersion quality of the Scenario is something that can't be found in the other arenas.

I for one, had a blast.

I had lots of fun and out of the 3 hour event, only saw enemy fighters for 5 minutes.

Your experience.

Your opinion.

You come accross as someone who fancies themself as "clever".

Which do you think I was referring to?

Are you just stupid or pretending?  Or just trying to pick a fight?
This thread asks for opinions.  I post mine and you reply to it saying it's incorrect. On top of that you add this petty smack: "You come accross as someone who fancies themself as "clever".

~golf clap~ Sign of a gentleman. Well done, sir.

Now, in response to the gist of what you'd said prior:

With all due respect, I believe you are entirely wrong regarding the balance of this event design. I propose we settle this dispute like gentleman.

I challenge you and your team to play it again once we've finished. We'll reverse roles, you play Allied. Same rules. We will win.

That's a glove laying on the ground, sir :)

Could some sensible person close this thread?

There is lots of useless talk here that should have taken place elsewhere.

I think he disagreed that your feelings are the same as the others feeling on the subject. Some folks like to think that if they are not having fun then no one else is either. That is part of RL too.

Yep, I disagreed with him, inherent proof that I refuse to accept others can have differing opinions...  You might wanna review your logical and mind reading systems Shuffler. :lol

Non sequitur.

I had fun but nothing like the events I remember flying in years ago.
YMMV, see you next frame.

ROC

I am very sorry you feel you have to leave.  I wish you would stay.  The reasons are obvious.  One being you personally have made this event a great deal of fun for us.  Please reconsider.  We need true gentlemen in this game such as yourself.

I also am glad to see CMs participate!  They do all they dirty work.  They are the brunt of abuse from the malcontents, they are the peacemakers, and CMs have the patience of Jobe.  These Scenarios could not be carried out without the likes of you ROC.  This Community is far better off with your presence then without it.  Whether one has a good time or not chiefly depends upon themselves and the effort his or her team mates put into the Scenario. Brooke, ROC and Roo have worked very hard behind the scenes as well as in front of the camera to make it enjoyable. I salute them for their efforts and will as usual participate and help any way that I can in future scenarios.  The CMs deserve that.  It's not all their load to carry.

I have come to the decision that I must step down as Axis CO and Bearkats will replace me. as I have committed the cardinal sin of leadership and argued in public and lost my image as cool and collected leading to the best of my ability.

but even in the frame I was never up to the task of leading the whole axis force. at Best I am a leader by example from the front of a flight leading players by my actions not by commands from far away.

but it is self preservation that I must do this and not directly related to the scenario

I didn't say this in the public forums but part of the reason  my wife left me is this game. I have sat in front of this screen for hours unable to stop playing. and when I am not playing I am working on the new airplane skin for the next plane going into AH.

and my motivation to miss days from work and get canned was my addiction to this game which after being named CO has gotten out of control. I must step back from it to have any chance of getting her back and hopefully my job back too.

so its a double edged thing. the excitement of looking forward to frame 3 but the knowledge I must stop the level of addiction I have gotten to the game and this scenario to repair the damage I have done to my life.
Fester was my in game name until September 2013
