moray.. I also deal from time to time in areas that require precise wording and punctuation... it is easy enough to make a draft and then correct.    I notice that some who have spent a lot more time in schooling and have much higher degrees are more careless or... oblivious.

I also deal with all types of people from memos to..  oh.. This BB..

I judge that a draft and correction are not needed here or in a memo say.

It would just make me look arrogant and out of touch to correct others simple spelling errors in such a forum.

At my most cynical moments, I feared that would be the case.  Pull him out of the Afghani countryside like a rabbit out of a hat at the most opportune moment.

It's ok Hap.. I'm used to it.  These two hound every thread, looking for my posts... just to mock me.  It's kinda flattering, to say the least.  Even when I agree with them, they attack my position.

The O'Club has always been a bit of a mystery to me.  I've come to regard it as a mirror of a portion of the electorate.

I'm mostly mystified by it.  Baffled.

And if it's not a war... then why does this administration continually call it such?  Tell me that?

bin laden is not in Afghanistan he is in Pakistan where US troops are not allowed to go, sort of like the viet cong hiding out in Cambodia.

the administration calls it a war, i am not part of the administration.

Well.  I'll say this... If the all three branches of government call it a frackin war...

They must have missed your memo.

I'd be willing to bet there are a LOT more Democrats that meet your type casting than Republicans. IMO there are more important things than a proper grasp of the English language. Being able to reason is far more indicative of intelligence than proper punctuation.

Cmon... If you can reason, you can take 1min and learn to spell a few words everytime you post.. Or better yet anytime you see a word written that you don't recognize, or something.  Kindergarten kids can do it.  Etymology isn't rocket science.

I can spell quite well thank you, won a spelling bee in the 6th grade and I rarely miss more than one word in the Reader's Digest word power quizzes. I wasn't defending myself. Those who think themselves superior in all ways due to their mastery of language are only fooling themselves.

I will also put my electronics/computer/networking knowledge up against anyone's. Just because you may be clueless when it comes to troubleshooting network problems or debugging a program does not make you an idiot. IMO, a truly smart person recognizes that everyone has talent and worth.
