Just go to the TA and you'll be alright. I think they have a newb/dork training program there.

Can't say that I never Boom and Zoom but my zoom doesn't last 2 sectors, just enough to get nose around and the real fight started

Last night was the worst I'd seen since starting my account, for 2 hours a conga line of 51's and 190's.  Each one diving after the same guy only moving to the next guy climbing after they killed the first or running if he got an advantage.

dude, in the MW arena, it's been that way for a few weeks now.....it's part of why i don't make time to be on that much anymore......no one really wants to fight, they only wanna drop, pick ya, then climb up where it's safe../.

i was in a zeke last weekend.....had a mossie, made 3 swipes at me..which were VERY easy to avoid, and on each swipe, i grabbed alt as i avoided him. i got co-alt after a few minutes, and what's he do? he runs away...not extend, but friggin runs. last i saw him whilst i was facing his direction, he was 6k plus. i headed for a friendly field as i had a fuel issue, started my descent, and guess who's back? the mossie......barly in vis range. i tried to fool him and did a low slow pass over the runway hoping he'd try for the vulch, but nada......so i dropped gear and set up. on short final, i see the auto ack go off, so i pull in gear, and firewall the throttle......he DID finally try to vulch me. the only really good thing bout it(and friggin funny)is that as he went by, i got a round or 2 in him.....immediatly before he augered. was funny, but still not fun though.....miss the fun fights of even just a year ago.

With some squadrons like SOARS and the Flying Furries polluting MW, the timid level has risen quite a bit in the MW arena.  A couple of weeks ago, was flying near a Bish base, see 2 dots about 4k above me, 3 more about 3k below.  I keep level and head to the 2 high bogies, the 3 low ones are in Hurricane IIs and no threat to me at all.  As I get within extreme icon range, both high bogies dive straight to the water.  I turn for the other three that are now a little higher than before.  Again, as I get within icon range, two of the Bish disconnect and the 3rd one augers like the first two. 

One of the Flying Furries then pipes on open channel they did it because they wanted to waste my time and don't like fighting.  To each his own *shrug*

I like flying at about 2k..

the really really high pickers never stray below 10, so either they dont see me or wont engage at the risk of not being the second highest thing up (first being the sun/moon).. so they are a non issue most of the time..

though if you get 4 or 5 of them they may stray down that low, but only if they are sure you are the only enemy in within the sector.

I can tell you what I think it is bro.The timid pickers by now know it's you in the Hawg,and they aren't about to get down and dirty with you so they can get owned by you.Plus you probably have a couple of your Muppet buddies in the area,thus getting in a turn fight with you isn't a real clever thing to do.Your reputation proceeds you,so you will only get the unknowing or crazies to fight you.Kind of like a gunfighter of old.The pickers are just waiting for a chance to shoot you in the back,just like the wild west.You have to give the devil his due.The picker has worked hard to get the killing shot,and he knows the utterance of belittlement is forthcoming.

Lets get something straight right now! First of all the trainers in the TA don't train. Sure they can tell me what key to hit for range or squad channel, what planes are the fastest or best turners..etc. But ask them about some advanced fighter tactics with a 38 or something along those lines and all I get is.....ah...well... you need to talk to so in so about that.
I've been in this game for 3 years I guess, and everything I know, I've had to pretty much teach myself. And all in all I hold my own pretty good most of the time. I don't fly with a wingman, and I don't fly around in a spit hangin' with the horde. So with that being said, I've adjusted my tactics to depend on me and only me! I've got on the 6 of several sticks I'd consider more talented than myself, only to be picked by their squadie diving in from 15k. Sure I could fly in a pack like you do, but that ain't my style.
If you're so good and "own" everybody, put your money where your mouth is , and you go to the TA and start training us "noobs"!
You uber boys get on this BBS and run your mouths how the game sucks now and everyone hos and runs. But I have yet to see ANY of you in the TA teaching guys anything! For 3 years I've watched you,lazer,bipolar,shawk,adonai,vanscrew..etc.. run your mouths about how you're all gods gift to aceshigh, but not once have i seen ANY of you in the TA!

i know whatcha mean........someone else had laughed that i may have wanted a mossie to fight a zeke....but ya know what? it would've been a challenge, and i'm sure as the sun comes up that there's probably someone out there that can shoot down a zeke from a mossie.....without bnz or run..eerr....extending 2 sectors.  again, i don't give a dam what i'm flying.....i just wanna fight in my cartoon airplane. i don't call for help because my score might get hurt(i helped someONE in MW last tour, and they used me for bait when i cleared their six). the f6f-f6f i had a couple weeks ago against wwm was fun......good fight, my squaddie came over, but staed out, as did his countryman/////was fun that way.
 like i said..maybe when i get time to be in the arenas again, i'll try DA to have some fun...or maybe LW for the furballs....or is the same timidness there?

dude....the last time i was in TA, i was wdewing, and a couple non trainers training. if you're trying to learn the 38, you want murdr.....or although i don't think their trainers, jolly, rocky, or helbent.....ack ack, or ANY of the 479th are all good guys......when ya go there, the BEST training you can get, is by simply flying against someone that's good......since you can't die there.....
