Generally I try not to take a HO unless I'm 100% sure that the con is at 80-110 mph and hanging on their prop, or even better stalling. Even then I try to restrain myself from the shot in a duel.

Aye, but in this case. Another party could come in and bnz us any seconds because it was Koth. So taking opportunity shots become priority because of time restriction.

I haven't played in KoTH in a long time but isn't it against the rules to pick someone who's engaged like that?

Nope the rule is to go to the nearest fight and keel stuff if you are not in combat. So picking or get down and dirty are all out there on the table. Can't extend for more then 30 seconds, and can't break 6k alt.

You see yenny, the problem I have with this shot, and situations like this when I'm in them, is that bosco could have easily (it seems) pulled into you to negate your ho (or else shoot at you if he saw you shoot at him).  The thing is, he choose to ease up a little and remerge, because it's evident that you guys would have collided.  You took advantage of that, and shoot him in the face and cried oh no it was a deflection shot, see..!!

Whenever I get in situations like this, whether its in a duel, or a friendly meet with someone else in the ma or whatever, and we get into a situation like this, I could always have pulled a tad harder and brought my nose up just a tad so that we both had our noses on, but then we would collide.  If that happened, that equals fun fight over.  So inevitably, I don't go nose on so that we don't collide, and the other guys shoots me in the face (or stabs me in the back, take your pick), and then quickly call out mind you, not a ho, not a ho, it was a deflection shot!!  Well not watermelon handsome, but you only got that "deflection" shot because I choose to try and keep our fun duel alive by moving out of our collision course instead of holding my guns on you, and you took the cheap shot on me... which is basically what I saw in this.

Yenny, Bosco was going 177 mph when you hit him... he could have easily pulled up and returned fire. You were pulling 2 G's and I can't imagine he was pulling much more. Blackout is what, 6, 7 g's?

He's on half an elevator. I didn't really have a gun solution til 150 yards out. He was going about 40 knts faster then I was, so I was cutting way inside his loop.

Well, he still had enough elevator authority to make you snap stall in the turnfight with a slipper tank on, and later on to make a split second adjustment in an attempt to avoid the HO.
