There is a cheat to have you do the start up / shut down automatically. But yes, it is a game for masochists only.

It isn't as bad as in space camp where we had a 15 minute preflight checklist, followed by a 6 minute pre liftoff checklist, followed by a 10 minute post liftoff checklist, followed by 2 simultaneous checklists involving the EVA and docking with the ISS, followed by a random emergency checklist, followed by a 10 minute deorbit burn checklist, followed by a prelanding checklist, followed by the 10 minute flight downwards as our autopilot failed, with at checklist going on at the same time, followed by the wheel touch down checklist of shutting everything off without blowing up. We had a 63-ish minute flight, with various time warps to cover for periods of time which would be spent doing nothing. And would you believe that our group set a speed record for the camp?

How fitting! They are working on adding an AH-64 (don't know if it'll be the Longbow) and the A-10C.
