Be nice if there was a way to switch between Standard and metric instruments in the cockpit, fair for all.

Some of the Japanese cockpits are off. I think it's the RPM and MAP gauges on the N1K2 don't match the power settings indicated in E6B. The RPM and MAP settings for cruise are HIGHER that what the N1K is capable of at WEP power!

I have a hard time even READING the +/- for MAP

I do metric and "standard" calculations/sizeing at work all day, back n' forth.  Honestly our country should just do things like the rest of this world and save me the headache (and hey, being able to work faster and make more money is good too).  I don't care which system would become the standard, just as long as there was a single standard across the board/planet.  I suspect HTC is sticking with a standard in the game for the same reasons I wish the whole world would choose a standard system of measurements.

I agree with you, but I do care which system is standard because the metric system is superior.  Nothing beats a base-10 measuring system.

The usual argument I hear against it is something like "Yeah, but how I am supposed to know how many kilos that weighs?  Or how many liters it is?  Our system is good because I can just look at something and accurately estimate its weight or size..."etc. :lol

As long as we don't use knots and nautical miles, I'm happy.

Yes, everything must be standardized and homogenized to fulfill the NWO's dream of everybody everywhere being as alike as possible.

Besides fighters in WWII lacked ammo gauges, it was all guessed by how long their bursts were.. So saying that about the ammo you could possibly just put an ammo gauge on the map, that way its more realistic, and for those who need the ammo gauge will have it and can look at it on their map.

Though many German planes had ammo gauges, namely the 109 and 190. The flap and trim indicators we have in our 109/190s were actually used as ammo gauges during the war in some variants of the planes.

In IL2 you can switch the on-screen air speed and altitude indicators between standard and metric.  Maybe HTC could incorporate that type of feature and add it in the display where you can see your memory use, FPS, etc.

Not going to happen gents. And it is not a point of realism or preferences.

The problem is when fly planes in both English and metric. It instantly adds more work load to flying a metric plane if your primary rides English or visa versa.

2nd Communication becomes a major pain when different units are used with different airplanes.

3rd I have done both metric and English in a previous life, hated it so much it is not going to happen.

The little speedbar in Il2? Not really what I was going for. In CFS3, the actual instruments on the panel could be had in standard or metric.

In IL2 you can switch the on-screen air speed and altitude indicators between standard and metric.  Maybe HTC could incorporate that type of feature and add it in the display where you can see your memory use, FPS, etc.
