What plane are you flying that has infinite rounds to waste earning "Assist on [Random dweeb flying crippled plane]?  :devil

The original question was if I shoot half the bandit's wing off...

Why only Fm2?

Ever lost half a wing in an FM2? You can practically just keep on fighting. Sometimes, I'll think I just lost my aileron

Huh, Okay
Why the Devil would anyone NOT finish off the bandit after you half-winged him? You earned the kill just as much as if you shot his tail off, might as well anchor it.

Six 110s hit the town at a field you came up to defend and the ack takes half a wing off of all of them.

Well...what if you don't know him? And he fought ok, nothing special.

Kill him.

If I could do it right in the first place he would be dead already.

When you shoot a half wing of the enemy aircraft what do you do? Let him go or finish him? Both in real life and AHII.

Can we please stop this "real life" crap. Not just in this thread, but everywhere else lately.

Nobody here has shot half a wing off an enemy aircraft in "real life"

Current Airforce/Navy pilots aside, and even then, given that there has not been a cannon A2A kill by an Allied pilot in who knows how long,..."real life" simply does not apply here.

Just getting sick of people thinking their actions in here, good or bad, have anything to do with real life warfare.

Kill him, and that goes with those (*Tommy cookers) also. I sat and watched a N1K get 2 kills after he was set on fire, because the guy who hit him was yelling don't take my kill he's burning.

*if I'm flying them, they usually burn with a couple of pings.

You mean nobody here has shot half wing off an enemy aircraft or you mean nobody ever shot a half wing off an enemy aircraft?

If it's the 1st case, that's why I asked what would you do, not what did you do in real life when you shot a half wing off an enemy aircraft.
If it's the 2nd case, you don't know that.

Oh, I think real life applies a little bit, in so far as I doubt that a real plane could fly so well missing half a wing like they do here when you drop flaps. :devil
