I think you're joshing around. *grin* Corky's not ever rude to anyone.

You've never heard him on vox during SAPP nights.  If one of us was just a half a meter out of formation, we'd be a victim of his verbal lashings.  One night when Mensa messed up on his torpedo run on a town, Corky's tirade was so vicious that poor Mensa started to cry when Corky started to make fun of his peg leg and lazy eye.

Behind closed doors, Corky is a mean.

I only hold a grudge against people who have a grudge against me, or my squad. There are a few people that, no matter if they kill us, or we kill them, that I will never give a <S> back, nor will they give a <S> back to us.

Sometimes people will <S> over 200. I generally try to use the .s function since I usually don't know if the other guy tunes 200, however I've gotten <S>'s from people I don't know over 200 so some obviously just assume that you do (which isn't a terrible assumption, lots of people do tune 200).

Grow thicker skin. :)

Salutes are not a requirement, neither are check 6 calls. Appreciate them when you get them, don't sweat the small stuff when you don't.

Dweebs are a dime a dozen, be thankful you're not one of them.

How can Corky complain about formation flying...he barely has enough intact parts to call his ride a plane.  :t

I just saw your other post  http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/index.php/topic,264419.0.html

If you were in a Spit16 maybe that's why they didn't return a salute. Honestly I rarely return salutes to Spitfire pilots, LA pilots, Typhoon pilots, N1k2 pilots, Chawg pilots, or anybody flying one of the big cannon birds. It's not that I mean them any disrespect, however I don't really respect them for achieving a one ping kill. Some johnny comes along and kills me with his P-40E or C202, I'll salute them. But thats just me.

You probably get saluted back on 200 alot and don't know it. I personally only salute a good fight.

As for corkyjr he railed on me for 2 weeks all because on one SAPP mission I did not put enough duct tape on my torpedos to hold them on well enough. He made me get out while in flight to fix it. Spilled half a blender of margaritas all over the downstairs of my 38.

Unlike some people here, I do give salutes, and check sixes.  It is at my/your own discretion  to do so, but it does show a little class.  I see that there are some who think they are 'beyond' giving a salute, so to them I say <SMSB>.   To all the rest I say <S>.

I always give a check 6. I prefer not to get one in return. I spend more time watching my 6 than looking out of the front of the cockpit and 80% of check 6's are from someone who is so far away he cannot even see who's behind who. That IMHO leads to a distraction that can possibly negate a gained advantage and extend time in the fight.  I personally prefer to take my chances checking my own 6 than having the above mentioned distractions.

I normally return a <S> to someone who happens to see me up and is saying Hi. I do not give <S>'s for every fight I'm in. If I did that I'd never have time to fly. If I shoot you down or you shoot me down please don't expect a <S> from me as I've already moved on to the next fight and since every single fight is a great one for me anyone who fights me wins/loses should know I had fun!

It has nothing to do with "class" or "beyond" giving a <S>. To quote Paul Harvey, "And that's the rest of the story" . Did you know he's dead?
