Thanks everyone for the warm greets. That's one of the things that kept me coming back in AW, the strong sense of community and comraderie, in spite of all the crashing and burning, and the occasional kill being scored.  :D

Hiya Side, I quit DFA and AW about 95/96 time frame.  Killer was CO at the time.

Oh, I remember my # as 2599, and I flew a lot with Sly or was it Fly?  His # was 666?.

Oh, I didn't mean that as an insult. Text being emotionless squiggles, I hope you didn't take it that way. :)

Much to Zap's disappointment, lethality is zero so you can't scatter P-38 parts like dandelion seeds over the TA's green fields.

SAPP birds still fall apart in the TA. It is part of the SAPP training to learn to fly our 38s in differing degrees of parts shortages. Also so they can learn to save the blender at all costs.

No OOZ, I didn't take any insult and was just funnin' ya. And I like these using new-fangled emot-icons.  :lol  We didn't have them back in the 1200-baud modem days!

Welcome back, SideWinder :)

What's your call sign in Aces High?

If you're ever feeling overwhelmed by the arenas or are looking for someone to practice what Moot and company have retaught you, let me know.  I'd be more than happy to act as a spirited target drone for you, if you'll fill my head with stories from the old days (I only found Air Warrior in '98, but I'm very interested in the history of these games).

I've resurrected my nom de plume, but it doesn't all fit, so it's SideWind

Thanks Vudak, and everyone else who have taken time out to reply with a "welcome Back".   :salute

I even saw a greeting from a current DFA member, Titan. Thanks. This DFA squad have any connection with my old AW ->DFA<- squad?

See ya up there!
