The basic Main Arena concept has not changed significantly since the days of Air Warrior: it is a free-for-all version of "capture the flag".  Minor tweaks like ENY or "time-outs" will not alter its fundamental character.  It is an artificial melee which does not resemble the WWII combat we all read about.  The Special Events try to simulate things that actually happened, and to some degree, they seem to succeed.  At least they attempt to provide the flavor of history.

I'm still waiting - and hoping - to see all the cool things that were supposed to be part of Combat Tour.
