An excuse being used by lamers for years.

If a player wants to play the game his way you call him a "Lamer" I think you should not worry about what the other guys are doing and you play your way and let him play his way..After all, at the end of the day it is just a game. An addicting game I might add, but just a game.. Everyone who plays finds certain things that he or she likes about the game. Some like to GV, some like to move the map, and other like to fur ball, and a select few like to have their names on the Aces Website for having the highest scores every month.. I say good for all of these different players..

They are all playing the game the way that they enjoy it...

another disturbing trend i've been noticing, is the fact that rather than adapting, and overcoming, people that don't like the changes are all too anxious to come here and complain. very disturbing.

Once again here we go....it isn't about adapting i love a good furball from time to time, but now it is a constant furball in the MA. The game play has lost some very interesting componets and has for sure become arcade like.

Besides whats wrong with sneaking into enemy territory to bomb a strat? Noe? or are you to lazy to up and find where they are? Oh i get it, instant gratification, well wait till you get home to play with your new toy or you will loose all the pieces!

i have gone deep into enemy territory. i've bombed hq, cities, whatever else is deep within. i do that when i don't feel like flying a fighter. sometimes i have my fun just hitting radar towers......or bombing from a lower altitude to lure fighters in.

when you get older, you'll understand what some of us are saying.

aaww jeeze!! my grandparents used to say that to me!!!  :rofl

Well said! I used to enjoy watching the map for signs of the NOE or strat buff runs and upping to stop them. I could play for hours just doing that.. Nothing hurts worse than going to all of the trouble to mount an NOE raid and have your troops killed at the last minute by someone who was watching the map. Or upping to hunt a buff on its way to the strats. You know he is there somewhere but you must hunt him.. I would love to sit in the tower while they de acked, and just when the troops showed up come out and blast them.. That part of the game seems to be gone now.. Now you log on and see a giant dar bar with many red and green dots on two or three places of the map..

The above comment is clearly part of the problem.. There you go again dictating how other should play the game..If a player wants to troll the map looking for easy captures, why should you care? If you do not want him capturing bases, you should up and stop him or them.. Yours is the same old mentality. Either play the game my way or your a hypocrite. If a group is taking undefended bases who is fault is it really? I would think that the owners of those bases are at fault for not defending them...

I think you're reading what I said TOTALLY wrong.

I am most certainly NOT dictating how people should play, quite the opposite actually.

I totally agree with everything you've said in the above quote.

I don't understand why someone who is fighting 5 sectors away from a base that is being "sneaked" would even care, especially if they are NOT the "win the warz" types.

I think they feel a little superior. (did i say a "little"?)

one of your squaddies shot me down in lw blue last night. it couldn't have been my fault, as i had my sapp issue blender running full tilt.....it had to be due to the expanded radar.  :neener:

some nights i enjoy just lifting in a heavy jug, sneaking into enemy territory and porking a base deep behind the lines. Why you ask? kinnda peacefull flying low and hitting the base behind their lines, and giving the "what the he!! is going on there experience. :airplane: Oh yeah cant do that anymore!

Ive been in the DA all week. The MA doesnt interest me much. It has bombers, cities, strats, but when you get down to it it, its about pounding a base with superior numbers, blowing up towns, and letting 10 robot paper cutout figures capture it.

The fighting in the MA (LW anyways) is all about speed, and surprise an very little acm. Thats why Ive chosen the DA to fly mostly. Many people in there will fight the way I like.

ever since i started my squad i have not loved this game any more so with or without the changes. I see the changes to be a chalenge to adapt to. I see the new town to be a strategic defensive perimeter with many choke points. i see the landscape and think to myself, what if?... This is a great game, a great setup, and great flyers. i have never loved it so much.

groundfeeder... if you do not like the way its played by others, use the others' way of playing to your advantage. there's nothing like upping a zero and dogfighting your way to the death or upping a 110 or an F4U1C or 4 to 15-20k and capping a CV group from bombers and suicide fighters. the thrill fuels me and my squaddies. we laugh and have great times. (in fact, my most favorite flights aren't the long bomb runs or escort duties or the furballing or base taking, my favorite sortie is the CV cap... it may not seem like much but it keeps you to the advantage and keeps you having fun and racking kills. Escort duties come a close second to this and 3rd would be GVing) This game is a sandbox man, fly it the way you want to. BE IMAGINATIVE because you hit a roadblock in the gaming and you can go around it. :aok

I've learned that MANY GV tactics can be employed on the ground and many other air tactics in the sky. read up and use them. maybe the leading role is where you need to be?
