99.9% of the time in cases like these the pilot of Plane A underestimated the energy state of Plane B while grossly over-estimating his own energy state.  I don't think the OP's case falls within the .1% area.

Simple, you were either slower than you thought, he managed to stay close to you in the dive, or a combination of the two. I've seen that happen to you before, the Yak-9T killing you C-hog when doing '400mph' is the example that jumps out at me.

It's real simple.. did you record it?  If not it's a moot point regardless.

If you did, review the film... you can see EXACTLY what happened, and exactly where you screwed up.

If you see something in the film that defies physics, then you can email it to hi-tech and they will review it to see if anything 'fishy' is going on in there.

It's been told time and time again the the public forums is NOT the place to post allegations of 'fishy' situations.

And if you want to know how you could have not died from that situation, then you should have posted in the Help and Training category.

i was in a B25 at 85 trying to turn fight with a F4U who kept running away everytime i had guns on his 6 ( couple 75's were tossed at him to lol ) after about 10 Min's of chasing him around i went back to rearm, upon final approach i see him diving in on me from 6 k above, i do a few moves and again he starts to run so i landed, re-upped a G6 and he was gone, sure was funny to listen to the range channel to hear other buff pilots laughing cause he was running from me   :joystick:
