I chose my name, TeeArr because I collect and Restore TR series Triumph Sports Cars.  Triumph was an English Car Company that began in the late 19th century building bicycles.  They  progressed into making motorcycles and then automobiles.  Triumph cars split from the motorcycle company around 1927.  The Triumph TR series began in 1953 with the introduction of the TR-2.  The series ended with the TR-8 in 1981 when the then nationalized car industry (British Leyland) went bankrupt and went out of business.
I currently own 3 Triumphs: A 1960 TR-3A, 1965 TR-4, and a 1974 TR-6. :aok   Now you know!

That's really interesting. Do you restore for yourself, or do you do it as a part time business?

When I signed up, I was asked for a gameid.  My passion is motorsports racing, specifically Sports Car Club of America, so I choose SCCA.  Little did I know at the time, people would be calling me by that name.  I heard SC, sikka and my squad at the time called me Skah.  When I was invited to join the AK's, I decided a more speakable name was in order, so I went with AKMeathd.  Besides being easy to say, it's the name of one of the race teams at my local track.

I signed up for a different online WWII fighter game, and every WWII call sign I could think of was taken, so I chose to take mine from a different pastime.  Growing up, friends gave me two nicknames- Birdman and Mountainman, because I've always been interested in birds, and in American fur trade history.

I also figured I wouldn't need to worry about anyone else picking something too similar to MtnMan.  That was true until last year, when I saw a MtnMan1 around for a while.

Simaril,  I don't have a business, and I really only do it for myself. Having said that, I am always willing to help a fellow LBC (Little British Car) Owner replace a top, restore an interior, tune a pair of carbs, answer questions or point them at someone who knows where they can find what they are looking for.  All you have to do is ask  :salute

The only thing I'd ask you, is to start another thread and post some of those pictures.   Those are some of my favorite cars.     :rock Majah!

Well, when I first started I was a numbers guy. My number was B67891.

I flew with Hells Assasins under Archer10. But my wing leader was none other than squeaker of the year 2008... BOTKINS aka NanoCrew. He formed his own squad and rallied all his friends to join, I being known as "B6" to everyone I knew kept the serial number in front. I changed to B6Dogftr, and it was my name for about 4 months, I gave the name to the squad "The 95th RAF Battlehawks" from the video game Secret Weapons Over Normandy.

In this squad was.... - JohnnyJr, Botkins, Crzythnu, Trinity3, 797Nerd (79Nerdie, my best friend on the web), B6Dogftr (me), hcetih (imagine 800Nate with LITERALLY no genetalia), Ruler2 and BlueB1RD.

After all this Squeaking I decided that when the squad broke up, (as Squeak Squads do) I took the name that I have gone by my entire life. "Pacman"

It is made up of my name - Peter Arthur Charles Lawrance, drop the L cause its a web name and you have PAC... PACman. Add the B6 on the front and you have a perfect 8 letter name.

Someone gave me this name. I refuse to say who or why.  :bolt:

As far as the Squad Name "Wings Of Terror" my wife came up with it.
She used to ask me "are you terrorizing little kids again?"

Interesting...

I would love to post some pictures of my cars, however, I don't have the skills to figure out how to put a picture in here.  Lord knows, I tried....couldn't do it.  If anyone can tell me how, I will post pictures...

TeeArr

I want to see the cars too!

Heres the skinny on how to post a picture.

1. go to PhotoBucket and sign up for a free account. Once you are signed up it will send you to your photo page.

2. At the top of your "album" page there will be a green button that says "upload now". Click that.

3. Click the green "Select photos and video" button. This will open your computers directory.

4. Browse to where ever you have saved the pictures on your computer. Most people save them (as well as default settings on programs) to the "My Documents folder or a sub folder called "My Pictures". Click on the picture you want to upload (hold down the "cntrl" button to select multiple pictures) and then click upload.

5. Once the upload finishes, click save and continue to save the pictures to your "album.

6. hold the mouse over the picture you want to post and a small pop-up type window will open. The bottom selection has an IMG tag in it, click that one.

7. open the "new post" here on the boards and paste (cntrl v) the IMG code to the window, and click post.
