I still hate the Beatles.....    I think  :headscratch:

Here's George, Ringo, Jim Keltner, Clapton, Billy Preston, Leon Russell, Badfinger and accompanying artists.

EDIT: Wrong one.

Leon lived up the hill from me when I was kid for a while.  He made the RR hall of fame this year.

Love the Beatles...

Followed Led around for a couple of tours back in the day. Some nights they were pretty messed up. But oh man they rocked..
I named one daughter Page:)

well you lost me at peter grant comment actually for I am a felon....

as far as forgetting his words heroin will do that to ya, Robert often changed the song not necessarily forgot the lyrics.

when John Bonham died the broke up....most bands if not all, continued.

they did nothing that other artists haven't been always doing....period. they changed every thing they used or borrowed and made it there own.

as far as Led Zeppelin being a studio band only.....well You could not be further from the truth sorry major FAIL...Led Zeppelin has been called the greatest live rock band by to many people to have sucked, I also know people that have seen them live....I started listening to them in 1979,
that is so laughable wow.....besides the fact ive had at least 40 live albums and tapes/CD's to 8tracks. watched countless videos of them....
They were great live.

the whole of your post screams envy sorry, you have eluded to this before...glad you finally got it off your chest :aok

As for my Felon comment it was true.   He had the "hoax robbery after the MSG gig"..........you draw your own conclusion.

I'm not envious, I've read a few books and left out other things, but why bother?    "FAIL"?    Are we adults here, or are some of you kids sitting around the breakfast table?     Don't know how I lost you, as you called Peter Grant.........Peter Green more than once.   :huh

I may be 37 ink, but I assure you that I've been listening to them since about 4 years old and it's far from envy.   I have the bootlegs, seen a lot of the videos as well, some things are just fact.    The older I get, the more I'd rather listen to Willie Dixon, Leadbelly and the influential artists "that get ignored".

In My Time of Dying is not one of my favorites by them.    Gimme Achilles Last Stand, Ten Years Gone, Tangerine, The Rover, and many others instead.

Lew, I was waiting for you to peek in here.

When Bonham died, I cried and cried and cried some more.   I was 6.  I was waiting in line with my mom for tickets at Sears of all places.  It was supposed to be my first concert  :furious

I still cry about it.

Ink, if you ever get near these parts, you have GOT to see these guys...

You can also contact them to play in your area.  If there is enough interest to fill a hall, they will do it.

About 4 feet in front of Plant & Page - you will glimpse some Andy Frain hats - about 15 guys placed between the stage and a plywood wall that was literally the stupidest thing I have ever seen.  The plywood wall, once all of the people in the stadium pressed forward, began to collapse and press into the poor Andy frain ushers - of which my brother and myself were in the midst of... we were on the "goon" squad - larger guys who usually worked stage front and dressing room door areas at most of the concerts around chicago in those days. We all had our backs propped on the stage, our feet pressed against the plywood wall pushing back and swinging our 8 inch lead weighted flashlights at the ijots trying to climb up on stage. Spent most of the night passing -passed out- girls over our heads to the stagehands so they could be sent to the side for ambulance rides...
I worked a lot of concerts at the Stadium, The Stockyards, the Auditorium,  and most of the sporting events - just one day figured I would rather get paid to attend this stuff then to pay to attend them... no regrets on that - saw a lot of cool stuff that I never would have seen had I not had that job

Hasta la Vista.   For the record you typed peter green no less than three times.

Edit.   For the record.   Zeppelin didn't give proper credit.    Again their own manager admitted they screwed it up.

Envy of what?   Sorry to burst the bubble.

I'll continue to listen to em when the mood hits me.  I like variety in music, even I get tired of listening to Pink Floyd.   But this playground fascination with "envy" is disturbing.

you gonna show me where I typed "Peter Green" instead of Grant?

or are you gonna admit that you read something you thought I typed...

Here's another one that won't end well. Worse, it's gotten booooring.
Some say revenge is a dish best served cold. I say it's usually best served hot, chunky, and foaming. Eventually, you will all die in my vengeance vomit firestorm.
