In this film starting at 15:29 I'm chasing a P38, "19216821" is the game id. :)

at 15:46 I shoot him with lots of rounds landed, hit him good. :aok

at 15:49 he moves at a right angle away from me. :O

No assist, no kill. :huh

How does that happen?

 :headscratch:

that was sapp defensive maneuver "alpha" in which the super secret warp function of the blender is activated.

I rejoice when I find a P38 when I'm in a 110 with less than 75% fuel and slight altitude advantage.

i find 110's to be one of two things.......

if they try to ho me, i know i'm about to get a somewhat easy kill, if they miss the ho.

if they dont' try to ho me, i'm in for a helluva fun and good fight.

I usually take note of one in a furball.

You and everyone else in the furball. You would think the 38 is a perk plane as everyone seems to break off what they are doing to kill the 38. One day I hope to be good enough in it to become a SAPP member.

ya don't hafta be good to be a sapp member..........i mean...they  let me in after all.

i went to help a coutryman, had 6 or 7 cons on him. i dropped into the fight, and all but one of those cons was suddenly planted on my 6. the other one was in my sights.

38's are NOT ez-mode.  Since I am the official decider, let it be etched in a great stone.

My question here is more the lack of any assist or kill message.  I thought if someone disco's within close range of you, you get the kill / assist message.  But I don't know exactly how this is handle so am probably wrong. :headscratch:

Seems like if you disco after being hit, you shouldn't escape free and clear.

You do, but only if that person has not been shot already by somebody else.  Are you certain the p38 had not been shot?

It looked to me like he was pilot wounded in the film.  So that likely explains it then.

Thanks
