Giving them away so there is active opposition, is promoting combat.

 

Old's chat ban is in direct opposition to promoting combat and therefore, he should have his chat back.

But in the process he ruined gameplay for alot of people.

Please sir, you cannot be serious.  The Devils Brigade was playing the game by the rules in an activity that can be apposed within the rules.  Olds, simply put, broke the rules.  Think for a moment how gameplay might be if this activity was not discouraged, what the atmosphere would be when playing.

Yes, but they don't think they're being dicks by droping hangars.  They're promoting combat in other areas of the map!  By you not allowing them to steamroll your base, you are being a dick to them and hindering combat in other sectors, and spreading the fight thin with too many options of airbases to up from.

There are already enough ways to take care of a horde without resorting to spying. I know, it's one of my favorite past times.

Only if there really was a goon dropping over the field and he reported you. Ratting out non-existent goons should be fine.
