Sorry Dot, did you say something?

Who was that German-sounding guy by the way?
... missions were to be met by the commitment of alerted swarms of fighters, composed of Me 109's and Fw 190's, that were strategically based to protect industrial installations. The inferior capabilities of these fighters against the Mosquitoes made this a hopeless and uneconomical effort. 1.JD KTB

I always loved to watch Bob Ross. I can remember getting home from church every Sunday just in time to see the joy of painting. :)

you doing that with a mouse?

if so if I were you I would think about a tablet, although I am not sure if that program you are using can use a tablet, you will be much happier with the results.

I am not saying that what is here is bad, don't take it like that, with a tablet it will be just about like using a pencil, heck for that matter a tablet with the right program is all forms of art, like airbrush, oil paint... water color...chalk...pencil...ect ect.

Yes it was done on a desktop at school. Its the first one Ive ever done. On autocad the coloring system is really designed for shading so getting that top wing to fade was the hardest thing. It took me a good 30 minutes of tinkering with transparency and different angles and colors to get it that close. It was just kind of a little class project where everyone picked a "motorized transportation device". So I picked the prettiest GA plane I could think of. Im quite surprised how well it turned out as well for 2 hours of work.

you should check out the program called GIMP, that and a tablet together is awesome.

that is if you are into image creation.

GIMP would be good for that....and then Blender for the 3D part of it.

My great great aunt( a famous artist) knew Bob Ross always said how nice a guy he was.

She also commented on how good a technique he had. He gets a lot of respect for bringing people into art who otherwise may not have gave it a shot.

Always loved his show. Some of you need to go find a happy little tree to sit under.

You can draw most anything on AutoCad. I use 2D mostly at the shop but sometime 3D gets the job done better.

Haven't touched on 3d yet. Mostly weve been drawing different brackets but we did this to learn how to use polyline edit (PEDIT) and the hatch command. Easy enough and kinda fun but im not smart enough to draw without plans or at least the peice in question and a measuring device of some sort.

Do not sell yourself short.  It is not as easy as you think.  I know a lot of people that just cannot wrap their head around a 3rd angle projection drawing.

As for being smart enough to draw a part?  Needing dimensions to correctly draw a part does not make one stupid.   :aok
