http://ammoseek.com/ do a search for whatever ammo you want. They will break it down all the way to per round cost if you want.
DEFINITION OF A VETERAN
A Veteran - whether active duty, retired, national guard or reserve - is someone who, at one point in their life, wrote a check made payable to "The United States of America", for an amount of "up to and including my life."

It's a sad day when a guy can't find bullets for his 22. Gunpowder will be next  :old:

<Here I am!>

Seriously - what's going on in the States?  Used to, you could go to any Walmart and find your brand; whether it be Remington, Winchester, CCI, etc..

It's been a long time since I had the need to buy ammo..

Ammo

we could type out here the many many reasons ammo is becoming so scarce here....but the first one that does, will have overstepped, and meet the banhammer.

We're starting to see .22 LR in Charlotte again, but mostly in 50 round boxes.  It seems you have
a choice, subsonic fragmented rounds or super zippy 1600+fps expensive ones.  Fortunately my brother
travels alot locally for his pool/spa work and has hooked me up nicely lately.  I have about 1500 rounds
now, about 5 different types from 3 different brands  :D

Not many years ago, we could buy 1,000 rounds of 7.62x39 for about $90....

These days, many sellers are asking $90 (or more) for 550 rounds of 22LR....

Eventually, the supply will catch up with the demand. In the meantime, take note of the price gougers and don't buy from them in the future.
My regards,

Free enterprise at it's best, a lot of suppliers are walking around with big grins on their faces. Like Widewing says remember who they are.

Problem is identifying where in the supply chain the price gouging takes place. The retailer may not be the one to blame.

Demand has far exceeded supply and manufacturing capability is the safest answer.

I'm surprised it is scarce all around. I work at a sporting goods store...normally bricks are off the shelves within an hour or two. The 50 rd packs last 3 days max. It is absolutely pathetic. I have had people admit they do not own a gun, but buy the ammo to sell. Just stupid.
