Guys I think you all need to take a breath. I know the ad is not that good but the way people are going on in here, it abused you as a child & punched your mum.
I believe the ad push needs to be put on hold until the new engines are in place. You need to WOW people into checking out a game and then, you need the eye candy to make them stay long enough for the drug that is Aces High, to affect their system.
Its the challenge of getting the new players in and hooked.
The Ad needs to be paced better, with an opening that grabs people.
An Opening with a blue sky. <1sec a bomber group roars over the camera. Camera shakes as it is hit with slipstream. 4-5 groups of He-111s holding tight formation.
5s mark: cut to a Ops room. Pay a few brits (there is bound to be a recreation group with the right kit somewhere willing to work for cheap). Have them calling the incoming attack, and scramble the fighters.
7-8 sec mark, show pilots running to their planes, fad from a real plane and actor to in-game footage with the newest terrain. As the camera pans around the aircraft (Hurricane) Splash screen with info about the number of flyable aircraft in the game.
12sec cut back to Ops, Listen to an order be given to man the AA, cut to a shot of an Allied AA unit roll into a town and stop on a cross road. Splash screen with info on number of GVs in game.
16 sec: First person shot from cockpit of the number 2 pilot. Glancing at Wing leader and the surrounding sky.
18sec: Pilot spots eny He-111s. Low 2oclock. Group Dives to attack. 6-8 secs of quick fire cuts between first and 3rd person view, showing shots being taken, fast passes gun blazing. Bombers shooting back.
26 sec: Bomber trailing fire and smoke dropping from sky, hurricane zooms pass into the camera. W/L calls RTB as the lead hurricane reaches the screen. Deploy ending splash screen with Game Title and Game website address.
Make sure to only show the best of the best in an ad. Never show the older models and make sure to use that fantastic lighting and terrain engine in the works.
Good music and voice acting are required.
