I just wonder what happened to that Playroom stuff?

There must be more footage available than a flight of B17's in numbers we rarely see .....

WarThunder / World of Warplanes is running TV ads in the Netherlands!
Why? The Dutch are dumb enough to spend a lot! of money on games ( second after phone sex  :bhead ), especially online MMO's. Those ads are short, fast and action loaded. And the name sticks....

The ad presented here completely fails to represent the "addictive" powers of this simulation as well as missing out on the various facettes of the game.

Carry on!

Well one positive thing about it the video was optimized for smart phone viewing. The graphics looked really crisp on my iPhone 4S. Most videos I watch in the video forum look like crap on my phone.

We have a professional voice over guy in our ranks. In fact, he did the V.O.'s on the two Military Channel commercials. I'd put him up against Morgan Freeman  :old:

Muzik, I believe the shot of the super large formation of bombers is to show what can be done in AH.

Showing people what you might see once a year is almost false advertising. Even if the normal "big missions" happened more often than they do, they hardly justify that clip.

I'm not saying it's some unforgivable evil, it's just deceptive and diminishes the integrity of the company in some small way.

Anyway I'm not going to lie. My point was an underhanded I told you so. It demonstrates that the devs acknowledged those massive formations are an iconic image of ww2 and a sought after aspect in an air combat game.

Unfortunately they do not exist in AH with any regularity or predictability. And if they did, the strategic foundation for their use needs work.

Maybe the recent strat changes are a sign of ongoing game changes. If so, fantastic.

Isn't it a waste of energy to make a promotional video, fan made or not, before the upcoming game engine update?

I hurt your feelings. You still seem a bit raw that I made fun of your
'Lets increase bomber drones by a factor of almost ten' wish. Honestly
I wasn't even that harsh but you couldn't handle criticism well. I'd say I'm
sorry I hurt those precious feelings but it may lead to one of your epic
public meltdown rants and, quite frankly, you make them way to easy to
accidentally step on. Just let go, son. You don't have to like me but
you don't have to be marked for life as a result of not being taken as
seriously as you unfortunately expect and periodically show the world. :D

No its not. Clearly this was made by someone who is enthused for the project and this is a first try. You should have seen my first videos.  :rofl

Videomaking is a progressive skill and a very technical time intensive one. I could spend an entire day on an opening song montage for a wedding. Just for the opener.

It is also fascinating in todays environment. So much raw expressive power at the hands of anyone with a decent computer. Had I discovered the excitement of film/video story telling younger I wouldnt have spent 1/2 a lifetime pushing a BT car around a Ghetto. Its also a skill you accrue talent with only with the experience of time and energy invested. Boy you should have seen me teaching myself Adobe After Effects. :huh

A little to much negativity in this thread. Once the videomaker hits his stride he will get good quickly.
