I prefer the fight fire with fire approach. Never fire first... always fire last and with 10x more force. Most people are so blind-sided by it that they often think they're the victim and then hypocritically cry for help.

Sometimes PM's are sent so as not to burden the rest of the players with the discussion.

Responding to it on 200 completely defeats the purpose and just a simple "look at me".

It just all comes down to having respect for the other players in the game treat people like you would want to be treated its not that hard.. maybe that's why I've never gotten any nasty PM's or send any, I have respect for all players in this game.

I am sure you don't really think that is the answer.  Of course it is a good point.  Jews in 1930's Germany had a choice like that - don't like the Nazi system?  Get out of Germany....ahhh if only they had done that.  Problem solved.

How is it not the answer?  :huh

This subject will only grind my gears to the point where i can't handle.  I am a firm believer that if you can't stand up for your own self and fight like a man then you are worthless.  Also that everyone now a days is a "hypersensitive" and can't handle a little hardship in their life.

Tell that to the Jews in Poland, Russia, etc.. It didn't work out so well for them.

This post is sickening. Why do people care so much about controlling others and how they play the game? If it is such a problem (PMs, 200, etc) then why aren't those communication avenues closed? Equating this "issue" to why the numbers are declining is ABSURD. The reason I left the game was because of PEOPLE like the poster. Making a thread about bullying? Are you serious? Comparing it to people committing suicide?

I far too often got muted for saying something on 200 that some "mod" found wasn't to their liking. The problem within AH is the governing body! We are all men,(a couple female players) and can handle toejam talking! It is part of the game! Some enjoy it, some don't.....what about the boys during WWII who wrote "Happy Birthday Hitler" on bombs before they dropped them? IT'S HUMAN NATURE.

Let the people play! Let them play the way they want to! Sure, if some says the F-Word, or something of that nature then...fine, lmute them. But don't give the power to some random system of reporting to do the job, or some over zealous MOD. I've seen entire groups of people leave this game, SIMPLY because of the over bearing governing body.

If HiTech wants to save this small niche online game, then they HAVE to get rid of online MODS, first-off. Secondly, get rid of 200 in general! The problems it causes is ridiculous and there is no place for it. Allow PMs but only if the person wants to receive them. The salute system will be the only way to communicate with another person (good job, nice shot, WTG, etc). Another thing that would need to be fixed is the ability of a squad to mute a player simply through mass .reports. In the posters world, this could be considered bullying, and I have personally seen it done.

If you are truly worried about declining numbers then fix what is broken and stop trying to micro-manage EVERY SINGLE COMMUNICATION IN THE GAME!

I agree 100%. I would also have to say that there is a huge age difference within AH, compared to other game platforms. The "hypersensitivity" seems to be more prevalent within AH. I could only imagine what would happen if a few typical players (45+ years old) from AH played just a few minutes of COD, BF4 or something the younger generation is playing, they would spend all their time reporting lol.

Torcch - don't misunderstand the original post.  This is not about the banter / smack talk / jibes etc - whatever you want to call it.  I have no issue with that.  This is about actions towards other players that are intended to make their gaming experience as uncomfortable as possible and very often results in them logging off.  We do not want that, we want people to want to come play.

The <bully> mentioned in my original post has not responded to this post.  Nor has he responded on 200 when messages of support were posted.  He did feel it right to tune in to my vox and via expletives tell me what he thought of me and my stance.

You guys sugar coat it all you like.  Game banter / smack talk is fine. Bullying people out of the game is not.

Wou speaking in terms of "WE" is the very reason people are leaving. You should focus on playing the game, and having fun, more than worrying about everyone else.
