I also did not know that one can send/return a salute on any channel. I always thought it had to be 200.

Heh, so did I!

^^^ can't tell you how many times I have said that... lol.

Good news is, I will back in the game in 18-months or so. Still have a tour in Kuwait to get through before I dive back in.

The proper way to display that salute is <finger>; which has gotten me muted more than once[/size]

Oooo.  Make this a wishlist item.  Wish for a ".f" command, which gives the other player the finger, and the sender gets automatically muted.  "You flipped off <player>, and have been muted for it."

The receiving player gets a text that says "<player> flipped you off, and has been muted."    :x

Not sure how anyone else feels, but getting bomb****ed and vulched doesn't normally induce a salute from me.  I try hard to salute in other situations.  And for some reason, if I get a kill on someone and I don't get a salute, it doesn't bother me in the least.  It very well may be a lost social grace, but I've never been perturbed over not getting one.
