Can't do every plane in the game, would take too long. So let's decide on 10-15..

Do this once a week(one plane per week
Use standard 1v1 dueling rules best of 7

The winner of the plane will be the plane champ. The only catch is that he must defend his title when challenged for it. (We can expand on this)

Let's get something going.

Edit: maybe we can use something objective like plane stats to decide which are the most popular planes, I doubt everyone will agree on the same plane set.

Also the "Must defend his title when challenged" kind of ruins the point of setting up a bracket/round-robin in the first place, not to mention it would build the kind of unnecessary animosity that will stop these. I don't dislike that idea, but I think it would kill this competition before it could get established.

When it comes down to the P-51D I Truly Nominate BigR over Tonyjoey. I had Fought Tonyjoey and he doesn't have smooth evasive maneuvers. When it comes to Bigr he actually pull real maneuvers and make you over shoot, or just scissors you to death and if you try and pull vert, he some how has the E to follow you and make a shot.

Do you think it would lose steam after a while doing it weekly? Some might not be available on a weekly basis. Maybe monthly or bi-weekly?

Only six on your list belong, everyone else is sub-trash errr sub-par.

I also Nominate an Ex Squady by the name of Xcom. HE flew the 38 really well. He was in the army in Israel and doesn't fly in Aces high much anymore. He told me that he has decided to fly that DFC game.

DFC ladder was great until certain individuals started backing out of fights they didn't think they would win.  Friendly or not it is shameful.     

I agree with Kruel better start afresh with a more competitive rule based approach but simple enough for everyone to understand.

It's not? What happened to the last Dfc/1v1 tourney? Did it even make it out of the first bracket?

This is a different deal with multiple plane sets, gives people multiple chances to participate.
