I had similar problems with the Samsung Xcover that I bought for my daughter. Apps would only install to main memory, only a couple random ones would work from the SD card. I threw the damn thing to the wall but it's impact resistant so it wouldn't break, instead left a mark on the wall. So now it's a paper weight reminding never to buy Android again. My family are now 100% iPhone users and we never have problems.

Go with one of the big names for Android phones and you're fine. I've had a Droid Razr M, an S3 and an S4, and have enjoyed them all, though I prefer stock Android to Samsung's Touch Wiz modification.

I did not want to go under a contract because I never use a cell phone that much . I think Tracphone well let you bring your own phone now so I guess I well look at phone's that don't cost a arm and leg .

Wounder if I can take the SD card out of the phone and download the apps to the card and put it back into the phone that way ?

As you have found out, the answer is to just suck it up and save up the money to get an iphone.  3 or 4 models to choose from right now, with anywhere from not enough memory to way more memory than you'll need.  Multiple colors, tons of free and cheap apps that actually work and don't usually crash or wreck the phone.  Microsoft office (especially one note!) is on the iphone now too.  The cameras are awesome.  The motion chip works great with fitness trackers.  Tons of accessories/cases.  They don't usually break when you look at them wrong.

My wife and I had iphone 4S models and they never wore out, we just wanted faster/nicer ones.  I got a 5S and my wife got an iphone 6.  Very nice phones, great features.  Almost zero gripes about either of them.  Its funny, our "complaint" about the old iphones we had was primarily that they never broke so we didn't really *need* to upgrade them.

In the same time period, my sister went through about 6 various android phones that all broke for various reasons, only one or two of them due to being dropped or another mechanical incident.  Most of them just quit working for no good reason, and she ended up spending more on those things than we did on our iphones.

I couldn't care less about philosophical differences between android or apple iOS.  Just.  Don't.  Care.  Everyone I know with an android phone talks all day about how great it is to fiddle with settings and change things and download this or that update or jailbreak it or install this one hack so they can do this other cool thing...  WTF.  I just want the dang thing to work without having to fiddle with it all the time.  iphone does that just fine, and there are hacks available for it too if that's your thing.

Or just get another android phone and constantly fiddle with it until it breaks and you upgrade it to something else that you're also not really happy with unless you fiddle with it endlessly.

IMHO :)
Everyone I know, goes away, in the end.

flench forget the iphones.  just google how to root your phone then follow some instructions like this:

http://theunlockr.com/2014/08/14/how-to-root-the-lg-optimus-dynamic/

worst thing is that you can brick your phone.  then again, not like your phone is the best, sorry about that.  I've had an android phone for many years.  it's a lot of fun just playing around with your phone and installing different  mods.  havent really rooted the current one I have since I got it back in november or so.  trust me once you start rooting your phone it becomes like a totally different phone.  no more stupid apps using your phone memory and no need to have itunes on your computer either messing up with your puter :).

I still have every single android phone since the razor that I have owned.  not one of them has a scrach on the glass and they still look brand new.  my last one was the droid x,  owned it for about 3 years.  currently I have the galaxy note 2.  bought it even though the 4 was already out.  the 2 look good enough, havent rooted it yet as it is an older phone and not many mods are working on it anymore :(.  but my phone looks still the way it did when it came out of the box and keep in mind I carry it in my pocket.  have dropped it way too many times but the case I owned protected it.  now I have to go on amazon and order a new case and nobody locally carries a case for it.  I dropped it again last week and the case protected it well but it broke on the corner.  the phone still has not one scratch on it :).

I dislike anything apple but I have an iphone5.

I can plug a guitar and synth controller and record and mix an entire album on one.

I use the iRig pro because the earlier irig has troubles with apple's mixing mic with speaker/headphones such that any high gain amp models feed back in the phone.

The lightning cable version doesn't do that.

icepac the earlier apple computers were designed with music in mind if I remember correctly, first computer I ever touched was an apple IIc, that's were I learned basic and computer language, later pascal and some others I have forgotten.

Basically whatever you do, don't get an iPhone. There's nothing inherently wrong with them, but a markup of 10-25% over a similar spec'd android phone is basically unavoidable.

And regardless of what anyone else says, there's virtually no difference in durability. If people have broken more androids, it's purely bad luck. I abused the hell out of my Razr, dropping it on concrete repeatedly while using the level app, pumbob app, etc, jumped in a pool with it, and fell on it when I slipped on ice, and it died a week before my contract was up.

The one thing most but not all android phones do better at is surviving water contact.

But really, my main issue with Apple is that you just can't do much with it. No SD card slot, can't compete with a rooted android when jailbroken, and despite all that, you're still paying for that dumb logo.
