Timothy Treadwell....what a guy! The LSD addict reformed by the wild grizzly. He's my favorite Disney Loon. The guy I really look to to do the complete opposite of. He "loved his Bears" so much he would camp out with them to protect them, "even tho they were on protected National Land" and couldnt be hunted anyways. In his deranged mind the people coming with cameras to photograph them from hundreds of yards away were "endangering HIS Bears" so he would calm them and walk up to them on all fours "coo-cooing" to calm them.

Like the screw balls that spend millions on rigs to protect whales that arent endangered and are allowed to be hunted by INTL treaty. Im sure Timothy didnt want money out of it. In the end they all want fame. Instead of just allowing the animals to be free under rule of Law they want something from nature that people cant give them and in the end their selfishness wins over. With Treadwell his narcissism and idiocy cost the lives of two Grizzly's along with a woman 'et. Himself.....'et. Im sure that was the way he wanted to go until it actually became the way he went.

They should release the audio tape of him being 'et. It might prevent more Treadwells.

I would still hang out with him before you.  Screw ball...

You are a very judgmental person, aren't you.
Don't make you right though.

The thing that was never mentioned in most of the coverage about Treadwell's girlfriend, where his hubris may have gotten her killed. She may have been inside of her menstruation cycle. He could not stop nature from taking it's course in that case without a gun.

Some guides and hunters voiced that as the probably reason for the attack after all of Treadwell's solo years with the grizzlies. She was the only change in his relationship with the bears. I believe in Alaska where going into areas of high bear population is concerned, the guides want to know if any women in their party is in her menstruation cycle. Blood is a grizzly dinner bell.

I don't know if he was a scumbag. He carried his hubris like giant clanging balls between his legs until the end. He mislead his girlfriend into believing she was safe as long as she was with him. More likely mutual stupidity and the other shoe finally dropped on him. At least he was not guiding groups to play with the grizzlies.

How many times did he say he believed he would be killed by a bear? Even that he wanted to go that way. It was no accident, it was intent.

lol, That just makes him a nut.  Which I agree, he was crazy.
As far as putting women into harms way, yes he did do that.  I believe his daughter was even starting to get in on the act.
Guess yours and Bustr's comments have swayed my opinion of him...

Yeah, that was a 'foot in mouth comment.'   :uhoh
In my defense, I wasn't fully aware of his putting his family in harms way as he did.
So now I'm like, meh..  Not as great of a guy as I had believed he was.

I see a pic of Steve Irwin holding a wombat and a discussion about Tim Treadwell...  I disagreed with Steve Irwin's positions on hunting but I think he was a good showman who knew what he was doing and the risks he took.  Treadwell was a guy with major issues.

Irvin was crazy too, but to my knowledge he only got himself killed. That's OK in my book.

Hmmm... Can't bite much without a head...  :D
There must also be a flyable computer available for Nefarious to do FSO. So he doesn't keep talking about it for eight and a half hours on Friday night!
