Rotor-

Seriously, just poking fun. I personally think everyone needs to lighten up a bit. Assume the best in everyone, etc., etc....

There's most certainly a point mentioned where it's truly poor form to try and explain anything posted by you or another that was misunderstood.

Oh yeah, and the part about not exhibiting or attempting to exhibit any type of humor (crude or otherwise) until the AH community board of directors have emailed you and given you the ok."

Although I am still of the opinion that "wacky and zany mime" would suit you, and benifiet the rest of us, best.... "poor, misunderstood victim who is just tryin (in his own modest way) to help" is at least a break in the monotony.

The CM team is doing their best. Events are being planned.
Great! That's what makes these games worth playing.

Good to see someone is.

Give suggestions in a respectful way and they will be listened to. Trying to speak to the CM crew condescendingly as they haul you out of your lifeboat is not recommended.
Almost sounds like you think this is YOUR game. Lighten up a little Francis.

Rotor, Tilt already got an email from me, that i would help him in the map department. Who am I you ask? A nobody ( no to be confused with NoBady)But i do have almost 2 years playing with AH Terrain Editor under my belt ( and the bald spot to prove it).

Remember, EVERYBODIES roots come from 'BrandX" syms, AH is a great mix, and we welcome all newcomers to AH, ( not saying you's are newbies).

Some will take A defensive stance with newcomers and not understand "bigweek" or 'Hate" jargon or humor, But soon we will intertwine and get to know all the newcomers to this great Sym, as I do remember Most of the players I left behind 2 years ago when I came to AH. I know we will all get together well, well most of us will. Old freindships will rekindle and old Hatred will respark, turning this game into a love/hate sym as we are used to.

As you can see "wild Wednesday" was developed and Ran from some suggestions some AW'ers input. THAT, should show the unbias personalities from the CM team. :)

It's good to see some Old friends from AW in AH, but I am trully sorry in the reason behind the Influx.

I hope you all will find this sym your new home, Enjoy!

BTW, theres only one "inside" joke i never trully understood... whats behind  "eat at Joe's"?

"Eat at Joe's" is my lasting contribution to AW culture,  alas.  It was during the Longbow scenario.  All the command staff would meet in the OC after a frame to argue about who won and who got screwed,  all while RM was using the random number generator to score the frame.  Since we were continually talking (read: making fun of people) on a private channel,  I started a squad to make this easier and invited all the command staff.  I'm goofy, so I named the squad "Eat at Joe's".  Like mold spores in a petri dish,  it took on a life of its own after that.

Lazs, let Arlo have the last word. Heck. I'll even help provide it for him.

Below is Arlo responding to some guy "MoB the Boss" from FA who was trying out AW as a replacement, being that M.S was planning on shutting down FA 1.5 for the not so loved FA 2.0. And the guy was getting flamed by the BW AWiers in response. Problem is MobBoss and several others made an "indelible impression"  on the AW BigWeek community just a month before in November of 1999 (I remember, as I flamed the guy for spewing crap on that newsgroup too)

Funny..... (not really) as it is quite a bit like what happened here a couple of weeks ago and also last spring (when EA had it's first round of lay offs) when once before we had to endure the idiotic trolls here. Well, almost. The FA guys weren't doing the trolling this time and also this wasn't the BigWeek news group. Otherwise same crap, different names. (imo of course)

"Why are you surprised some clubs were brandished as soon as you came in the door? This NG has a long memory :-) and your FA "M8S" left an indelible impression. Not all of Bigweek is as forgiving as I am (lol). Rest assured that your sincerity (or insincerity, whatever the case may be) will
prove itself over time."

It would be very interesting to see if Arlo can follow his own advice.

 Westy

oh...

WORD!
