Oh ... tell me more stuff other people say, Mr. "Lack of Imagination".  :D

Oh .. I know ... you're so overcome with emotion that words fail you ... so you'll just borrow some along with some sugar for you coofee. Let those feelings pour out those fingertips! You've got alot of venting to do and I can handle it. Whatever you do, don't log off without getting it out of your system!  :D

lazs1 ends up having to go to Creamo "the even tempered" for material:
perhaps I am making this too complex..  Better I should quote one of AH's more respected and even tempered BB lurk.. er, "contributers".   Creamo

This in response to the election of "pongo" for "whine of the week".  It concerns pongo's observation (and rightfully so) that arlo and rotor were, in the one case, incompetent and inexperianced and, in the other case, not really a part of AH anyway..

The quote.. "You take out the kill/score stuff, Pongo has a point. If this is the best of the AW wits, the banter kinda sucks all round.
Im sure AW has some more entertaining BBS characters.

Arlo is kinda like a stupid ram, and Roto is just scroll fodder."

The economy of words and thoughtful, constructive critisism brought a tear to my eye and half a cup of coofee to my keyboard and monitor.

It means your so bad at this game you probably cant take a plane off reliably, your opinion as to the direction or value of any facet of it has to be so imaturly developed that probably the best you can do is babble incoherently.(evidence your posts)

3/1 is something to aim for
2/1 is hard to maintain for an experianced pilot
1/1 is a real milestone
1/2 is a guy that is enjoying the game and at least understands how to shoot
1/3 was a bad vulch or two.
.
.
.
.
1/8 is almost imposible to come up with a way to achieve.
Its like target tug time.
Your so far from understanding the fundimentals of flight and shooting that I find it hard to believe you even participated in AW.
Or
Perhaps.
you really do fly with a rollerball. I guess that would probably do it.

LL guess that "lack of imagination" thing really hit a nerve eh arlo?  wigging out over it is bad enough but to then follow with....

". Let those feelings pour out those fingertips! You've got alot of venting to do and I can handle it. Whatever you do, don't log off without getting it out of your system! "

I mean... This will be no fun if you continue to make my arguement for me.  Anyone who didn't see something like the above quote coming a mile away is numb.  I think you shot your whole wad in only a few days.   Apperently we have seen your whole routine.   No new material is anticipated.

Unimaginative and... predictable.

And rotor... perhaps I am being too harsh.  truthfull, but harsh..   You do have a point about "fun".   It puts me in mind of the story of the Hooker who laughed at a customers tiny little member and said "who ya gonna please with that little thing?".   "ME" he said.   I stand by the "lack of experiance" thing however.

No my stadards dont mean crap except for me to evaulate the value of your observations and critisisms of the game and the community. And as a measure of whether you should be puting yourself forward to represent the AW crowd.

Fair enough, I did, and you know what "a little bit harsh, but truthfull" <tm Lasz>.  So, for my information, lets say I spend the next year getting shotdown by you yahoos, and my k/d stays at 1/8.  Do I then have any more right to express an opinion?  Where does skill have to do with an opinion on something that has nothing to do with ACM?  I didnt say "you guys suck at ACM" did I?  Did I say "Ok Pongo you and Lasz lets go at it, I bet I kick yer arse 2 out of 3".  Never did I challenge anyones ACM abilities  :).  In time I may or may not give you the chance to prove how good you are  ;).

Until then, I suck you guys are Aces, and Wild Wednesdays is a step in the right direction  :).

Just to set the record straight: nobody speaks for "the AW crowd." Many of us have come to AH recently, and for all sorts of reasons. Some came because they were bored with AW, some came because they were pissed off at EA.COM, and some came simply because they were looking for a state-of-the-art combat flight sim - something promised to Air warriors for a long time, but never delivered.

Now, I've read posts here that called us "refugees" forced to come here, and others that implied that we were just waiting for the subscription costs to come down, etc. Maybe so, for some. For others (like me and my squad, The Flying Tigers AVG), the reason for not moving until now was loyalty - loyalty to our friends, loyalty to the community and loyalty to the game. My squaddies and I have done a lot of soul searching, and have held out the longest of any squad in FR, trying to build the numbers back up after mass defections a few months ago.

We have tried everything to keep AW from going down the tubes, but now the fat lady is warming up, and there's virtually no one left to fight - they're all over here.

What you have here is people who started flying in AH, and a lot of people who started in other sims. Every other game id I see in the MA is somebody I know- either an old friend, or an old enemy. Like it or not, AW and AH have merged, and the new community that is evolving as a result will hopefully have the best of both worlds (and, of course, the worst of both worlds, too).

Finally, as to "the AW crowd": we have loud mouths, and we have quiet folk; we have arrogrant amazinhunks, and we have people who would give you the shirts off their backs; we have people who will dedicate huge amounts of time and energy to making AH the best community and game it can possibly be, and we have people who only want to fly and have a good time. Some of us are awesome flyers, and some of us will always be mediocre.

In short: we're just like all of you. I'm happy to be here, and I look forward to flying with - and against - you all.

wait, did someone make fun of me up there?  <S> (the one finger variety!) Grimm.   :D

Rotor may suck and fly with a trackball, but he lasted longer than me in some of the Wild Wednesday rounds.   :)  I think I was one of the first 3 down in round 1.

"Take a deep breath before you start ... and let it all out, Laz. Posts don't kill people. People kill people"  There it is, more of that zany humor that never fails to tickle.   No matter how many times he uses the same style in a week.   Do you have a name for it?   maybe "zany mental health care professional"?   Or  Hows bout "zany PC sensitivity trainer"?   Personally, if you can't think of a new act.... Might I suggest.....  "zany and whacky mime".    Maybe you could do that "trapped in a box" thing? that allways cracks me up.

rotor.. your K/d is not really all that important but.. combined with your lack of TIME in the game it points out that maybe you don't quite have a handle on what's going on in the game.

Maybe, maybe not.  However, look at those that have agreed with some of my points and have been here a LOT longer than me.  With that said this is my last post on this thread, otherwise Immel is going to "punt" me in the groin.  Happy flying to all, and if ya see a 38 flopping around up there, well, I might just get lucky  :).
