The AH bomber AI is very rudimentary so I'd concede the point on principle, but not technicality, except for the implication of numbers. There were not that many real people involved.

I didn't watch enough of it to know but will do so. It's easy to spot.

It's not a bad video but you consider posting in on Hoggit.  That's where your going to find potential converts.  It has pretty much become the main combat sim discussion forum.

I've seen DCS, IL2, Combat Pilot, and BMS discussed there.  It started as a DCS forum but is not restricted.  If its combat sim related it should be fine.

Better than posting to a bunch of MSFS goofs.

What accusation? "I'd bet 2/3 of the bombers were AI". That accusation? You were there. I wasn't. You tell me.

I agree, very active forum on any combat flight sim. I read it regularly. You'll find many times more criticism of ED and DCS there than here or anywhere else. Some valid, some not.

So I watched more of your video Animl. Obviously some of the bombers were AI because I saw multiple instances for three bombers all shooting at the same time.

I'll add that it doesn't detract from the game play but does impact the realism in a video. No need to tell me you don't play just to make videos. I get it.

I think the difference between bomber drones in AH and 'normal' AI in AH or other games is that there is still the human element with bomber drones. They are being directly controlled by a player and there is human satisfaction/interaction in both shooting stuff down or bombing stuff, and shooting the bombers down. At the end of the day it's PvP, not PvE.

For what it's worth, there were 185 unique pilots in the Masters of the Air Scenario.

Since you are the lead in events team, I’ll leave inner workings of the event up to you. Evidently it matters whose mouth it comes from, and more better answers.

Predicted it would. However, I didn’t post other replies to the video.
Just defending differences from the also predicted. Why its in the initial wording.

No one said there were not bomber drones. They are AI. You can fly with AI wingman in DCS. You do have more control over them than just telling them to follow me and shoot at what I shoot at like in AH.

When I use the word AI it's meant in a way that it runs alone as a drone on an algorithm hard wired setting, with no commands from any pilot. I don't see wingman or 2 buffs following as a full implementation of AI. I refer to it as an AI Aid to a pilot. You seemed to have been suggesting full implementation of AI Drone to just add aircraft to a sworm. You said you could pick it out, but there's nothing to pick out, except as an AI aid to a B-17 pilot. There were not full blown AI drones added as other sims do.

This convo actually slid off the path of MY real main point,...which is more action between more human pilots than most modern sims. The no AI point comes in as #2.

You will never see this amount of action among this many human pilots in DCS, (and maybe not IL-2 as well). With the amount of data they push I'm not sure it can be done. Lower data bigger arena populations. Sometimes it's good to not have intensive graphics, if you wan an MA.

You are the one who insisted "100%" real people. That would have been true had not the bomber pilots elected to fly with AI controlled "wingmen". I'd bet all of them did. I'm not trying to diminish the event or your fun. Just pointing out you are not AI free as you made a point of stating.
