As mentioned way above, I saw them in 77 at Soldier Field, Chicago in their prime.

I think it was in the 90s (could be wrong on yr), when they reformed with Johnny singing, I worked with them. I didn't mix.
But I just don't care for Johnny, he's exaggerating the role.

He was a pretty boy type in the late 70s-90s. His music sucked. He would have never fit the band. Suddenly over-night he took on this tough biker type roll, which LS was never about. And his vocals, IMO just aren't there.

I worked with 38 Special where the youngest Donny VanZant sang some. He came closer to the Ronnie image. He was actually a lil bit more rowdy than Ronnie, who just stalked the stage.

ANYWAY, I still get in a old skewl LS mood once in a while.

As a member of the original MTV generation, I'll publicly admit the greatest music video based on production value and dance choreography will always be Michael Jackson's "Thriller".

I double dog dare anyone to prove me wrong that the all-time best music video will be Cher's "Turn Back Time".

It's easier to fall on your knees and bow before the only true Queen of Rock and Roll.  :x

MTV marked the end of classic rock as most popular. "Video killed the radio star" was first video on MTV. And MJs videos were probably the most watched, however, also the most played.

Cher, queen of R&R? Naaa... she had her day in Pop with Sunny,.... then most of her more famous stuff was MTV vids.  But it's all your own perspective.

As far as billboard radio play of classic rock I would have to pick Ann Wilson of Heart as the break-through vocals for females. Or Grace Slick of Jefferson Airplane, most the rest that came out before MTV were mainly pop.
