Anyone notice???
« on: February 17, 2002, 11:22:32 PM »
Anyone notice that anyone from HTC doesn't listen to a thing anyone saids BS or not??? I have only been playing a few months.
So I'm kinda at odds posting this.. But if someone points out something about a plane or would like to have this added. Its nobody listens or they say well we won't we do that because..
Now I may squeak about somethings. But I try to back it up with facts and not with abunch of roadkill. Its mainly about the P-38
cause it gets the toejam end of stick most times.. Don't get me wrong AH is better than AW in most areas but poor in others.
It is a damn good sim. But we pay for and fly AH.. I'm just saying
don't just blow off somethings we are just trying to help. And sometimes just sometimes people that fly AH and don't work for HTC know more about some plane than the people that work for HTC. And those people need to be heard I think. And saying we can't add that because people squeak. Well people are gonna squeak no matter what.. So you are pretty much damned if you do and damned if you don't. Anyone else have thoughts about this??
And don't post anything saying I'm a puttz.. Thats not what I'm looking for and already know that :)

Aside from the new voice system that will be integrated into AH in 1.09, we’ve been working on a powerful new film viewer/editor as I mentioned before. This is a separate Windows app much like the new terrain editor. In addition to allowing you to edit your films, this new app has many useful new features. In addition to seeing plane type and distance information, you will also see the ID’s of the pilots of enemy aircraft, and see readouts of their speed and altitude. You will also be able to move your viewpoint to other aircraft in your films instead of just being slaved to your own. This will also give you the ability to capture films to an AVI format.

If you think something is wrong with the 38, provide some documentary evidence:  Army aircorps or Lockheed documents, German analysis of captured aircraft etc... Otherwise it is just somebody's opinion which is contradicted by somebody elses opinion.

just because the p38 isn't the ultra-uber demon from AW doesn't mean it's wrong.

you're in the big leagues now, the p38 has a real flight model and none of the dedicated lighting drivers have felt fit to complain about their ride anymore. last issue i remember seeing was the 'glass tail' and it's been fixed.

you're not a putz, your just new.

(although i wonder if this is some kind of troll from heater directed at hitech? i *never* see the word putz around here)

I have to defend Bigcrate to some extent here. :)

I fully understand his point of view, any random look at posts on this board would lead you to believe that HTC does not take any notice of what is said.

The problem is that they do respond  to posts, but given the number of threads generated on any particular subject, there reply gets buried.

What I have suggested before and will again ;) is that somwhere HTC lists the following items.

BUG list. That way people know if any particular problem is being looked at.
New Feature. Things that HTC want to put in and a general order that they are being considered for.

This would IMHO relieve alot of the feeling (without cause) that peoples problems or suggestions are being ignored.

Grayarea.

I'll bite. What exactly is your point? You're not happy with the P-38?

Why?

If you think it's wrong, better check your data and check it twice. Then check it again. Then, consider sending an email to HTC explaining in excrutiating detail what you've found rather than posting it here.

I'm not saying you're wrong. Hell, I haven't a clue. But I do know one thing for certain. Publicly questioning the AH flight model without any data to back it up will get you nothing but flames for your trouble.

P-38 is fine now. No glass tail, tougher and the FM is right on from what I've read for the most part. The only questionable part of the plane is its dive flaps.

Of course, I only see what he posts here and what he does in the MA.  I know virtually nothing about the man.  I think its important for people to realize that we don't really know squat about each other.... definately not enough to use words like "hate".

Incidentally, I've never tried AW.

I've heard a lot of people mentioning the P-38s were killers in
AW. What was the P-38 in AW like anyway??

ROTFLOL at this first post...most of us are here, and remain here, because HTC DOES listen to their customers!

As far as FM goes, we could argue those til we died 75 years from now.  If you've got hard data to prove something other than what they have, send it to them.  They HAVE altered some FM's when the community has proven the data otherwise.

In other words, put up, or shut up.
