It's a newsgroup. Good people for the most part (if you don't count me and maybe a couple or three others). Hosted by a member of an AW squad (or former AW squad) - the Kraits (out of the UK). Top notch people - did alot of work on their own that made AW a much better experience than it would have been.

The current incarnation of this NG is actually the third server (maybe fourth) that an individual has volunteered to keep up for a group that has spanned them all. It actually started out as a web-based board for the AWIII beta group (that's irony, no?)

The name was derived from a scenario run in the beta arena. I'm sure you're familiar with its background since it's an upcoming event in AH (again, ironic).

There are others who post on this board that are even more familiar with the history and background of the BW NG. Perhaps they will chime in. I've been chiming way too much and my bell is rung. (Can't unring a bell?)

Well, the solution I see is that you set up a NG server for AH.

I'll stay here on the ubb because I prefer it, but you might get some traffic.

I kinda doubt it but that option is being considered by one of the former hosts of BW,which I mentioned to PJ right off the bat in the thread ... and probably should have stopped there.

BTW ... sorry bout the earlier post. You're in no way to blame for mine and Westy's falling out. So ... actually ... I'd be an bellybutton to say "thanks" is in order. I'd much rather just forget the whole damned sorry episode (which i played a MAJOR part in).

Some UBB boards can be configured for both. It's hard to expain except that NNTP "works like email" tm Mosca) and is very convinient for sorting threads, topics and archiving.

This version of UBB is by far one of the better ones but having that extra functionality would be nice.
