'Yes but

WHAT HAVE THE ROMANS EVER DONE FOR US????'
'well the streets are safe to walk at night!'
'F*&k off!!!'

seriously people GIVE IT SOME TIME. no one likes features until they find them usefull and/or get used to them.A perfect example of this is when you buy a flight sim and the veiw system doesnt work as well at AH's.You immediately find it frustrating and makes you dislike the game(il2) BUT in time it becomes familiar and you grow to like it.
My intitial take on the base warning and sirens is that they are excellent and really more realistic than having milkrunners taking bases without anyone seeing a thing! I for one am glad it scuppers the milkrunners.
The base flashing as far as i have seen gives the 'fast fight' guys a chance to find a fight very quickly, but who do we see moaning about it?.
if you want the warnings to stop then you have to attack the CORRECT targets.Didnt HTC say that the warnings will be possible to stop by attacking the radio shack? I thought i read that somewhere. If it means waiting until the new 512x512 map to see this then im fine with it.So far it has hardly affcted the way I play AH at all.
As for the voice, again Im willing to give it LONGER than a few days before i start whining at HTC who are obviously trying to add features for their customers to ENJOY!. jesus christ give it a few weeks at least.
I intend to test it out before i make a decision. If we jump down HTCs throat for trying out new features and threaten to quit for EVERY new introduction they will become just like the big software companies. They wont take the risk on the additions and the game will stagnate for their long term customers. It will be superceeded by other online sims that start up and who have nothing to lose by trying new ideas.
I for one tip my hat to HTC for what they try to give us.I may not like some features but at least im willing to see if they work first.
