I'm surprised we have any Canadians at all here eh.  14.95$ is a little steep for you guys-what w/ the exchange rate and all.  Every morning I look out and watch the mass migration across from Canada to the US to work here....very little traffic going the other way.  I mean like thousands and thousands of Canadians...like bugs comming accross the bridge to work here.  You would think they would be a little grateful.  No way.  They smile to your face then scurry off and talk behind your back.  Hell we feed these people...show some respect!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

From Memory, so be kind!

In 1814 we took a little trip
Along with Colonel Jackson down the mighty Mississip.
We took a little bacon and we took a little beans
And we met the bloody British in the town of New Orleans

chorus:
Oh we fired our guns and the British kept a comin
Though there wasn't quite as many as there was a while ago
We fired once more and they began a runnin.
Down the Mississippi to the Gulf of Mexico

(this was a big hit when it came out in 1959, and through the early 60's)

Now I remember it.

Have you ever heard the song about the Canadians blowing the crap out of the Americans at old Fort Detroit,  yeah it's called "The Star Spangled Banner" . :D

Heheh, I read a Usian high school history book once.  It had ONE paragraph about 1812.  Basically said, "Martha save the paintings and we won the Battle of New Orleans"

It forgot to mention the bellybutton whoopings delivered on to you, by the awe inspiring, super-kool Canadians.

PS: I think there were some British there.;)

Sweep, you are missinformed.  The Canadian dollar is worth(monetarily speaking) exactly one dollar American.  It seems like it's worth less because of the conversion of imperial to metric.

This is a sure-fire pissing contest.  Sad how prejudiced people are typing on a keyboard.  This BS wouldn't happen if all of us were (say) at the con.   I'm happy for the Canadiens that "you kicked our ass" in the war of 1812.  We were still free before and after it (1984).  You were ordered by the throne of England to join and I'm sure the UK would have kicked your ass, if didn't fall in line.

Oh I forgot the "euros", huh?  I could sit here and type that the French owe us billions of dollars and haven't paid in years.

The Italian army SUCKED in WWII (don't try and dispute it either), This is the only neg. comment I will make in this post.  Rommel said himself "If a poorly built Italian tank or other piece of equipment (including a soldier) fails or breaks down, leave him or it behind and the front will be more solid."

But, in all honesty there is no "winner in a war".  Sure my grandfather was on the "winning side of WWII, in the pacific".  But he took to the grave "the screaming and yelling of Japanese soldiers being burned alive by phospherous grenades".  Talk is cheap but, to sit here NOW and say you WON is pathetic.

I thought the English fleet in Lake Erie got PUMMELED, so how about the Northern front of 1812?  Read up, who RETREATED.

Sweep, I have nothing against N1kpaz, i was born in Michigan but hate usually stops with me.  Don't get me wrong, i'm 29 and would volunteer before most 21 year olds if a draft were ever eminent.
