... to paraphrase another contentious thread on this board, which contained captions designed to insult, or at least belittle, those who do not believe in the unabated proliferation of weapons. I've been debating in that thread, mainly with Mr. Toad, and as a result of discoveries made while I was researching the facts, I am now more convinced than ever of the error that has been made by this policy. America has something in the order of 200 times the number of gun-related homicides that we have in the UK. Even allowing for our smaller population, it's still 50 times the British rate.  

So strong is my opinion that I have modified my sig. I have read Skuzzy's recent reminder about BBS behaviour, and although some Americans may find some of my posts unpalatable, I do not believe I am in contravention of any BBS rules.

So suck on this for a while.

If we ever get 99% of Americans to not go into fits of laughter when they hear "toodle pip"   we will probly have a reduced murder rate.   Not really wort saving a few lives under those circustances tho in my opinion.
