Apparently the TV interview that was broadcast over here a few days ago, in being aired tonight in the US. What did you guys think?

Did your skin crawl at one particular moment in particular? If you see it, you'll know which one I mean.

Oh... it's the fault of SOCIETY.

Ah, thanks for clearing that up.

Thank Cod there was no Michael Jackson personal responsibility and accountability involved.

Whew. I'm relieved.

Heh.

I actually felt sorry for him up until he started talking about sleeping with boys, in terms of it being 'sweet'. That disturbed me.

Society is to blame in some ways. He was pushed into the spotlight as a young kid, and his neuroses were magnified by the huge public attention. His parents didn't seem to offer him any protection at all.

Who pushed him into the spotlight?

"Society" isn't a being... who put him out there in the spotlight?

He was 8 years old when he started out wasn't he? He was brutalized and beaten by his father no matter how he performed. Can you imagine his dad's reaction should he have refused to go on stage?

Sure, later on he used the spotlight as it suited him - but not as a kid.

Ah.... so you agree there is  a responsible and accountable PERSON rather than a non-animate "society".

Good.

Of course. But what is society if not a collection of individuals?

Parental units are constituent parts of society.

No, you've just shuffled the goal posts around. You were talking about the personal responsibility (PR) of Jackson. I point out his father pushed him very hard from a very young age. You then seem to admit his father has some responsibility.

So where are we in terms of Jackson's PR?
