So if a kid isn't willing to get wasted and have sex with some potato then he's a whimp? You guys need to get your heads out of your collective tulips on this one- not every kid goes off to college based upon the availability of sex and drugs. I think it's admirable the kid has values in the face of certain ridicule from people like- you.

He didn't want to go to the school because he was afraid he would get made fun of after turning down the sex and the drugs... that ain't morals, that's pussitis.

Oh and yeah... at some point in his illustrious college career, regardless of the college he goes to, he will be
A) Offered sex
and
B) Offered drugs.

So is he not going to college at all? Or will he drop out and go to another college when option a and/or option b happens? Highly unlikely... his dad did a helluva job programming him, he just failed on the common sense part.

So "common sense" dictates he should get high and have sex as part of the enticement UO offered him on a recruiting visit? LOL and his Dad "programmed" him otherwise he would have gone for it?

Did you even read the article? The part where it talks about Hamilton going to San Diego State instead of OU? You must not have because that part was right in the headline...and you missed it.

It might come as a surprise to some of you, but maybe the kid doesn't believe in doing drugs or having sex just because some skank makes herself available for a booty call. Maybe the kid has moral values, and maybe the kid should be commended for making the right choices instead of being ridiculed.

I said "doing"?

No, indeed I did not. I said drugs and sex are at every college campus in this nation, and he being a football player, well he'll get more offerings of sex and drugs than the average student.

So, in conclusion, what he could of done was casually deny the offer and sucked it up.

Instead, his convictions were too weak for his "morals" and he had to cry over it.

It may come of some surprise to you, but people get offered sex and drugs everyday... and they don't go popsiclefooting about it to the press as the big factor in declining a job offer or attending a university, they just shrug it off and go about their business.

The part where it talks about Hamilton going to San Diego State instead of OU?

What does that have to do with anything I said? So he's going to another university, guess what, he'll get offered sex and drugs there too. Like I said, is he going to drop out of that college when that happens? I think not.

No, he's a popsicle because of what Russian said.

So he would have been less of a popsicle if he'd gotten high and balled some skank? What if Hamilton was a girl? Would that make it OK to speak out against inappropiate offers of drugs and sex, or is it the fact that it's a guy who's speaking up that makes him a whimp? Double standard, huh?

It may surprise YOU, SW, but if you offer a coworker sex and drugs you are opening yourself up for a potential harassment lawsuit. Of course your female co-workers should just keep their mouths shut and politely decline, right?

I applaud this kid's morality. He'll take alot of flack for doing what he feels is the right thing and alot of that flack is going to be dished out by people who never walked in his shoes so really don't know what a recruiting visit is all about.

I have a daughter starting college in September and I'd much rather have her date a kid willing to stand up for his moral convictions like this kid than date the kid who went ahead and balled the skank and got high.

Like I said, you guys are way off base on this one.
