Not controls-try to manage conflicts! Won't be perfekt, never will, but it's the only way, just as justice.

As long as nations stay in place (most likely a hundred years from now) we don't talk of ruling here.

We talk of developping International Law, nothing more, nothing less.

Long way to go, we just had a step back.

call it what you like if you don't like to say the word "ruling" but the UN, which you say you are in favor of, is a single ruling, or "governing" if you prefer, entity.

Don't you think someone has to 'take charge' and gather together all the loose ends (nations) instead of having the current state of 'each to their own' ?

Why don't you just answer his question, instead of spouting more nonsense, Blitch?

Laws actually have to be enforced.  This is a step forward, we just enforced one.

the rest can go for the "new" Iraq

Eagler, yer gonna do just that. It was agreed upon long ago,a dn I see no wrong in doing it.

I am betting there'll be a lot of favours owned by whoever the US set up as new leaders of Iraq. Seen from a cynical POV, the war was a good American move.

As to Iraqi Oil and related subjects.

Chaunc sent an E-Mail to me about a dinner party held in the not so distant past where the Archbishop of Canterbury talking to Collin Powell stated something like this.

Is this an example of American expansionism?  Something to that effect.  Anyway Collin Powell answered.
Many times Americans have left their country to defend the freedom of others, and the only land we have asked for in return was enough to bury our dead...to bury those who could not return.

Europeans.....take a look......how many Americans are buried in your countries?  Those Americans that could not return defending your freedoms.  Many Americans buried in the Pacific also. And the Oceans of the world.

When Iraq is stable.....Americans will again be back in their country, where we Americans want and need them.

No flag waving in this post.......just a fact that all of us know to be true.
