And, this is a good thing as we seem to be a diverse community that has folks that pay for what they choose to do, and when they choose to do it.

I am quite sure that all 3 countries are actually very close in terms on a team play/strat play now. You can judge it by concentration of players around furball fields and time during which fuel/troops stay up at key fields. If someone want to switch sides due to strat reasons I suggest you not to do so, you will find it all the same at the other side.

Absolutely 100% correct!  We've been switching lately just as a diversion and a chance to fly with those we normally battle against.

Actually I do know what a good fight is . check your one of your original threads I responded to " MA strat . why always".  As for me being the only one who knows how the game is played? No I'm not the only one, there are a number of us who are equally frustrated with the lack of cooperation when asked for. lol

Ripsnort and Fariz: You guys are absolutly right.  I have heard the same things from others who have transversed to the other counties for a change of pace or thinking the grass will be greener on the other side only to wallow in their disbelief that it's just as bad if not worse. Except for the numbers. The knights are pretty much screwed for the majority of the time which is why some people switch. tired of being out numbered all the time.

Here's a thought....

Some people don't have half a day to play a game day in and day out. The strat system, especialy on Trinity and AKDesert takes a long concerted effort to effect change....that's something that some of us just don't have.

When I log on to play I want to find an area where the fight is intense and sustained to support my addiction for the limited time I get to play...for the most part, the landgrab aspect of AH is at odds with the fun I crave given my limited time online.

Now, who's being selfish minded?

He would have to, because you have made it abundantly clear that you certainly can`t.:D You don`t participate in MA gameplay so you have no knowledge on the subject. In other words, it is your opinion that is worthless when relating to MA gameplay.

Did you know that some of the folks that play this game just wanna have some fun.  Those "have fun" guys are *******s.  They should be having fun on their own time.

Meddog,

I agree it's not fun getting pushed into a corner.  Seems like that's been happening to us a lot lately and it's frustrating, but such is life.  Strat targets do make sense to those who like the strat part of the game.

However, I understand the other points that are being made.  Leviathn & I were furballing at an airfield recently from a CV, and one guy kept hounding us to take out the fighter hangers.  We wanted to furball, not do ground attack.  The other guy stated several times he would kill the FH's to 'force them' (those of us wanting to furball) into attacking the city.  Eventually, he suceeded in destroying the hangars, but because he was trying to force his will on us, there was no way in hell I was going to do what he asked.  I know your intent is not to force anybody into anything (which is the way Grim runs the USMC), but to make a recommendation.

I wonder if there is a way to combine the fun of furballing with the strat side.  It seems like when we attack strat targets, the other country usually responds by upping fighters.  If this attack is kept up, usually a furball is created.  Once a furball is created, strat guys could call out it's location.  Any furballers interested (stress on the word interested) in joining the fight could keep the pressure on the fighters while strat guys continue to take out strat targets.  In theory (and I do mean theory), everybody gets an opportunity to do what they like doing in a way that benefits both types of players.  I'm sure this is just a dream, but it's fun to think about what could be.

I think I was there that day.  He complained about too many people vulching the field & no one killing city.  so he killed all the FH to stop the vulch fest.  He was a jerk.

Your idea is a wonderful way of incorperating strats with furballs.  When I wrote my thread, I was thinking of last night when the rooks out numbered us by 50 or 60 players and steadily taking our southern bases.  I would see a bunch of knights headed to a rook base & I would ask them to kill the barracks there to relieve some of the pressure off the bases that the rooks were attacking while I porked the barracks at another field.  They never helped and rooks just kept taking bases. So I really wasn't cracking on the furballers like I made it seem.  I just wanted a little cooperation.

I've also found my self in the situation were I start off on a 1v1 base defense and ends up being a 1v1 duel & we both kind of for get about the war and just duel until abunch of players up from 1 side or the other and ruin it.  When you want help, you cant get it .  when you dont want help, you get it in spades go figure.  I know there are times I seem crass and I really don't mean to be.
It all depends on what frme of mind i'm in. the screwing off mode or game play mode.  As a fellow squady glove fell free to correct me when I'm out of line

Hey Meddog,

I was fighting hard in the south (rook) last night.  We did have the knights out numbered.. but seperated from the bishops.

The Knights were doing pretty well down there.  Fuel was porked at all front line bases, and second line also.   Barracks were destroyed along the fronts also.

The Rooks did run alot of resupply and Goons from Bases several sectors back to make base captures.

Overall Id say the Landgrab game was about a draw.   The knights fought well and made it a tuff fight the entire time I was flying.  The Rooks were also persistant and put forth alot of effort.

Maybe your being hard on your country men,  From the opposite side of the fence,  The knights were doing just what you were asking for.    Sorry if we Rooks did not coopperate.   ;)

Say Hey to your CO,  My Evil Twin,  one M Grim.
